MakerBot Replicator Mini Compact 3D Printer

An ideal pick for 3D printing newbies or those strapped for space, the Replicator Mini Compact is the smallest MakerBot 3D printer yet. Plus its easy to set up and use, and is capable of high-quality prints.

Safe design for an open-frame printer. Self-leveling build plate. User-friendly software. Prints via USB and Wi-Fi. Can print from a desktop or mobile device. Good overall print quality in our tests.

Tiny build area. Relatively expensive filament. Noisy during operation. No display. Misprints and occasional filament jams during testing.

Conclusion According to MakerBot, the Replicator Mini Compact 3D Printer is geared toward educators. Its relatively low price, compared with the MakerBot Replicator, makes it school budget friendly, and it is a good platform for students to learn the...

First printer had to be RMA'ed. No Quality Control

I would recommend buying a Makerbot over most other 3D printers however I warn you that it might be awhile until you can really start printing if you have to RMA.

- Anyone can set it up and start printing in 30 minutes or less. - Makerbot's Thingiverse.com website is a fantastic community resource

First printer killed it's smart extruder after less than a week and technical support determined it was not homing correctly and must be RMA'ed. HOWEVER - you can not return/exchange the printer unless it is in the ORIGINAL PACKAGING which I had thrown...

Choose another Vendor

I urge you to consider a different 3D printer.

Small.

Constant filament jams. No heated bed. Terrible quality output.

MakerBot Replicator Mini

I did a lot of research before buying a 3d printer. There are plenty out there on the market, Dremel, XYZ , the diy repraps, The Cube, and plenty others. Something kept drawing me back to MakerBot... i couldn't really find any reviews on the MakerBots,...

Worked Straight out of the box. Had to set it up, update the firmware, and printed a test print with no issues. Print quality is pretty good, not perfect, but pretty darn good. The ease of use, so simple my 6yr old can operate it (of course with my...

Price is pretty up there, but I was always taught you get what you pay for, so for my first 3d printer I wanted something decent, and so far I am very pleased with this buy. I guess its loud compared to others, but I haven't really been around any...

Finikey at best

So we bought this for our company and it has given us nothing but trouble. Bad tolerances, the internal resin sometimes jams. The resolution doesn't match the competitors product that we had to end up using either. Compared though its a cheaper...
