Now in its third-generation, HP's Envy lifestyle all-in-one has started to get it right.
High quality scanner ; Quality feel to case ; Easy access cartridges
No separate photo tray ; High asking price ; Large footprint for living room
Access to the twin ink cartridges, one black and the other tri-colour, is straightforward enough once you've hinged up the scanner lid and the white flatbed, underneath.

Everything is designed for a smooth experience, and that includes the initial setup. You're prompted to go online and create an ePrint account for printing over email, and the wireless security settings are automatically sent to the device. AirPrint...
Still, if Apple made a printer, it would probably be a lot like the HP Envy 120. It’s beautifully designed and built, initial setup and daily use are both as easy as any we’ve experienced, and it comes with the highest price tag and running costs here....

The HP Envy 120 is a designer printer, so its interface and build quality are outstanding – even if the prints don't match up
The HP Envy 120 is a designer printer, so its interface and build quality are outstanding – even if the prints don’t match up
You’re paying for design, not print quality; running costs are high too

HP's home inkjet printer has one of the smartest designs we've seen
Good scanner ; Very well constructed
High price ; Relatively slow print speed ; No dedicated photo tray
The HP Envy 120 printer is slim, sleek, and looks smart. If it had a dedicated photo tray, it would be perfect for a home office that didn’t have a lot of spare space. It’s good for buyers that don’t need to print much or often, but it’s expensive.

The Envy 120 is a beautiful device, but in terms of print quality and functionality, it doesn't live up to its price tag.
HP’s Envy 120 is a beautiful looking printer. However, it does disappoint in a number of areas. To obtain its good looks, the Envy 120 gives up an ADF, which is a convenience found in most AIOs in this price range. Also, other AIOs in this price range...

Super-stylish design ; Good performance and print quality ; Motorized components and transparent scanner are fun to watch
Expensive black ink ; No automatic document feeder
The HP Envy 120 is for those who do only a little printing and a little scanning, but who want to do it in style.

If you've always wanted an inkjet with stylish good looks, take a gander at the HP ENVY 120 e-All-in-One Printer.
Sleek design. Automatic duplexer (for two-sided printing). Wi-Fi. Supports HP Web apps. Prints through the cloud.
Slow. No Ethernet. No Fax. Low paper capacity.
As should be clear, the HP ENVY 120 e-All-in-One Printer is a little like a high-priced restaurant dish with great presentation but merely adequate taste. The Canon Pixma MX922, for one, will give you a lot more capability at a lower price. But if you...

HP's Envy 120 has an unusual design that should work well in your living room, but you'll need plenty of patience while you wait for it to work.
Unusual design ; Quiet operation in normal mode
Bulky and heavy ; Slow to print
HP lists the Australian RRP of the Envy 120 at AU$329. A quick online search found plenty of places selling the Envy 120 at around the AU$250 mark, which seems like a bargain.

The HP Envy 120 e-All-in-One was unveiled at the end of 2012, but had its official debut at CES 2013.
Unique design ; Large touch screen ; Improved print quality
Paper capacity ; Average print speeds
