A lot has happened to the compact photo printer market in a year. In Feb 05 we gave Canon's Selphy CP500 which, like the new 510, lacked an LCD screen, any onboard options or storage card slots a Gold award. But the CP510 faces a lot more...
Though not a looker, lacking in versatility and slightly short on image quality, the Selphy CP510 is still worthy of your attention. That reasonable price and those brilliant running costs make this a good, cheap model.

This is even smaller than the Selphy I looked at on 2/1/06. It is a rather different unit perhaps the word ‘basic' would be applicable.
It is a rectangular box 17.5x12x5cm without the paper cassette inserted however with this inserted and the space required behind for the paper path during printing you need 39cm of space to use it. There is only a single button on the unit (on/off)...

The Canon Selphy CP510 Compact Photo Printer ($99.99 direct) is essentially the Selphy CP710 ($150) without memory card slots or an LCD to preview photos. What makes it interesting is the unusually low price. When we first heard about this printer, we...
Low price and low running cost. Fast performance
Thin lines, such as bicycle spokes, appear ragged when printing from a computer (but not from a camera)
The Canon Selphy CP510 Compact Photo Printer offers both a low initial cost and a low cost per print, along with excellent speed and high-quality photos at up to 4 by 8 inches.

A bare-bones snapshot printer at a bare-bones price.

The SELPHY Compact Photo Printer CP510 is a small, lightweight and very portable, dye diffusion printer that can be used anywhere with the optional rechargeable lithium battery pack. It is designed to be connected directly to a compatible PowerShot digita
If you own any PictBridge-compatible camera (most are that were made after mid-2004) then the CP510 can be your ultimate personal photo printer. This is especially true if you have the

Earlier this fall Canon released two new printers, the SELPHY CP-510 and SEPLHY CP-710. Both are small format portable dye-sub printers. The major difference between them is that the CP-710 has a built in memory card reader. Both can be operated from...
Both the CP-510 and CP-710 come supplied with only a sample 5 print pack of paper and dye sub ink, so you'll probably want to order at least one 36 or 108 print kit with the printer

Compact photo printer Canon's $230 Selphy CP510 is the least expensive of its range of dye-sublimation, 4 x 6-inch photo printers. As such, it doesn't come with much in the way of features: you won't find an LCD screen or built-in card readers. But...
Like other dye-sub or thermal transfer photo printers, the CP510 takes ribbon cartridge that lasts for a set number of prints; in this case, 36. You buy the cartridge and 36 sheets of postcard-style paper in a pack for $25. At 69 cents per print,...
