A business-oriented inkjet that also prints fabulous photos
Cleverly compact design ; Helpful 4.3-inch touchscreen ; Vivid five-ink printing ; Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity
Slow duplex printing ; Five costly cartridges to replace ; Small main paper tray ; No front USB port
The Canon Pixma TR8550 packs a lot of key features into its neatly folding desktop design, including duplex printing, Bluetooth and a huge touchscreen that makes it especially user friendly.

A review of the Canon Pixma TR8550, a versatile 4-in-1 printer suitable for your home office.
The relatively high cost of printing simple text documents is disappointing, but if you’re working from home and need to produce a lot of colour documents, such as presentations and brochures, then the Pixma TR8550 does offer genuinely competitive...

Disappointed to find that there is no option to connect by cable to PC. Wireless printing from laptop, tablet and phone is great but would be nice to have cable option for PC.

Excellent value product. Fairly easy to set up with computer. Only thing I wish it had was a draft print facility. It will print normal or best print but when printing out items in order to check them over, a draft print is all that is needed.

Be aware before you buy this that if you want it to operate you need to (a) manually open the control panel; and (b) manually extend the arm that catches the paper after its been printed. This was a surprise for me as I thought I was trading up from a...

Having had a Canon printer previously which gave very good service without faults for 8 years I selected this model to replace it. It is easy to set up and use and the quality of print is very good. Even copying documents is to a good standard.

It is reasonably quiet and quick. My only negative is the slightly fiddly and small paper out tray. Overall a very neat, good printer. Very pleased with the purchase.
