Can Canon deliver its usual excellence at a sub-£50 price? Simon finds out.
This may be an inexpensive all-in-one printer, but it still produces excellent print quality, is easy to use and, despite Canon's outlandish claims, is reasonably quick. Print costs are a bit on the high side and it would be useful to have a PictBridge...

Canon has recently made some changes to the line-up of its PIXMA range of products. One of these changes involves the entry-level All-in-one device. This position is now taken up by the PIXMA MP190 model.

Review of the Canon Pixma MP190 printer and scanner
Easy to use, very quiet operation, scan quality, value for money
Light prints, tri-colour ink cartridge, slow printing times
The MP190 is good value for money, but for quality photographic printing we will have to look to Canon's higher-end models.

A good value for money printer
Consumer review (reevoo.com)
For the money it did more than I expected/needed. I don`t have high expectations on the specifics so the thing has printed/scanned/copied for me [occasionally] and hasn`t let me down at all.
If I`m forced to say anything the speed could be faster but it isn`t an issue for me.

easy set up - good printing quality, although the cartridges don't last very long. Can be used on silent mode. Excellent quality
none as yet.

Genuine Canon consumables don't tend to cost an arm and a leg, this is my third Canon Printer and I've been really pleased with each one. I've even recommended it to my father-in-law who is also a happy Canon customer!!
None that I can find.

I did not find reusable cartridges and also cartrridges are not recyclable

Not got one.

Great value and with some excellent features.
Ink far too expensive and does not last very long. Someone, maybe Tesco, can do a replacement ink at a reasonable price. Would love to buy the ink there at a sensible price, but if I can't will not be buying another printer from Tesco.
