The Brother MFC-J4510DW is a neat inkjet all-in-one with occasional A3 print. It prints A4 in landscape mode, which is a clever trick.
Quicker print, Good looks, inc ‘flat top’ ADF, Mobile print and scan
Plain paper print ‘fuzzy’, Rear feed guides too small, Noisy when printing A4

An innovative all-in-one A3 printer
Fast text printing ; Photo printing pretty good ; A3-capable ; Small footprint ; Colour touchscreen
One A3 sheet at a time ; Scanner and ADF A4 only ; Plain paper images poor ; Doesn't match top all-in-ones
This new multifunction printer has a twist. Specifically, it has a 90-degree twist. Instead of feeding the paper through the printer in portrait mode, with the short edge emerging first, the Brother MFC-J4510DW turns it sideways so it prints in...

However, where Brother has made a significant breakthrough is by having the main paper tray in landscape mode rather than portrait. The problem in the past has been to allow smooth printer output without curling or catching the paper and their solution...
The economic design of Brother's MFC-J4510DW is a welcome innovation in a crowded market and the addition of A3 printing is an attractive bonus. Good controls, connectivity and speeds also make this worth consideration but it's let down by...

Brother's latest all-in-one inkjet printer comes off the bench and establishes itself as a real player. While a limited paper and ink capacity may keep it from going long in a large office, small workgroups and home offices could find something to...
The ; incorporates new technology including Web-connectivity features, cloud printing, a touch-screen interface, and a freshly-designed paper path that loads horizontally to accommodate longer sheets.
The printer ships with small reservoir "starter" ink cartridges and its 150-sheet paper capacity demands more frequent refills from busy offices.
The Brother MFC-J4510DW all-in-one printer leads with a stylishly compact chassis and its Web-connectivity rounds out an impressive list of useful features for small offices.

Printers that can handle A3 paper understandably tend to be big beasts, but Brother has hit on a novel solution: flip the A4 tray around by 90 degrees. By loading the paper sideways, the MFC-J4510DW's print area is wide enough to handle an A3 sheet fed...
The Brother MFC-J4510DW can print on A3 paper, but the quality falls behind the best
Too expensive to buy, no Mountain Lion driver in the box, average print quality

If you're primarily needing a graphics printer, you'll find better models. But text output is good, and the features set substantial. Throw in the added convenience of the odd A3 document, and the Brother MFC-J4510DW has an awful lot going for it.

Printers tend to fall into distinct categories offering the user a choice of either / or facilities. You could select from a laser or inkjet model. Perhaps a standalone unit or a multi-function device that can provide print, copy, scan and possibly fax...
The first such printer to be launched in this innovative J4000 range is the MFC-J4510DW. As the MFC suffix indicates, this is a multi-function device that gives you print, copy, scan and fax functionality. You also get a 20-page ADF (Automatic Document...

Brother takes a step forward with the $200 MFC-J4510DW all-in-one inkjet printer. Where previous models delivered basic features and boring hardware designs that felt far behind the competition, this office-friendly setup deserves its "future-proof"...

Brother's MFC-J4510DW is a fast, innovative inkjet multifunction that handles large paper sizes, produces nice photos and is easy to use. There's also automatic duplex printing and an ADF, and best of all: affordable ink.
Compact design ; Handles up to 11-by-17-inch documents ; Low ink costs
Default settings can create grainy graphics and flaws along edge of printhead path
