Sony Network Walkman NW-E300 review: Sony Network Walkman NW-E300

Sony Walkman Bean Sony is working hard to reestablish itself as a leader--or at least a competitor--in the portable music market. First, it added native MP3 support to its players, starting with the NW-S23 S2 Sports Network Walkman series. Next came...

Excellent FM reception and battery life; retractable USB connector.

Poorly designed USB cover; awkward controls; tiny screen muddles interface; noticeable hiss during playback; music-store support limited to Sony Connect; slow file transfers.

Sony's half-baked Walkman Bean tries hard to be hip, but bad design elements and hissy audio make it one square audio player.

Good things come in small packages.

The sound quality is wonderful - on good headphones, the bass is strong - treble is clear - it looks great. Using the player itself couldn't be easier. The memory capacity leaves a bit to be desired, but if you're looking for the ability to hold...

Don't pay attention to the cynics...this ATRAC3 player is a keeper!!!

Sony NW-E3 is the most beautiful ATRAC3 player in the world!!! It puts out the most incredible sound for such a little thing. I am a true believer in quality so I go with Sony that is made in Japan.

Ultimate portability, Most powerful sound of all MP3 players I have owned

battery life, poor software, not a mp3 player but a ATRAC3 player

329.99 Lighter?

I received the NW-E3 from my uncle as a gift when it first came out into the market back in 2000. 329.99 was a steep price to pay, but it looked so cool and small. What I did not know is that a lot of features had to be sacrificed to get the player...

Great!!!!

Sony has done it again with its new NW-E3! It is the best bang-for-your-buck for an mp3 player. Great battery life from only one AAA battery. Software is simple and easy to use, and is very fast. All i need to do is to download songs from the...

Sony NW-E3 Software Macintosh Compatible? YES!!!

Allow me to start off by stating my purpose for being in the market for one of these things. I needed something that I could listen to music with - minus all the skipping and the bulking feeling I heard and felt with CD and Cassette Players. Then, of...

a good product

Recently I have purchased the NW-E3 because it was on sale for 264 dollars including tax. I was amazed at how small the player was, while still being able to deliver great quality sound. I have not experienced any problems with the product, and have...

Just got one these for Xmas and wanted to add my dissatisfaction to that of the others here. In addition to the non-upgradability, limited compatibility, clumsy software, and all the other problems already extensively documented in other reviews, the...

WOW

Several weeks ago I had my Sony mc-p10 stolen. I was devastated. I went on Ebay to look for another, and I ran into the nw-e3. I immediately fell in love with it. I decided to purchase it. When I got it unpacked I loaded the software. I did not have...
