Review of Samsung's YP-T5 MP3 player

It was the world's smallest MP3 player for about a nanosecond, but PC Magazine plays with the Yepp YP-T5, Samsung's 256MB MP3 player which weighs just 1.3 ounces but still manages to squeeze and FM tuner in there. They like it lots, apart from how it...

Samsung's tiny YEPP YP-T5V

While it may not be the smallest in the world, the YEPP YP-T5V certainly leans toward the miniscule end of the sizing scale. Luckily, despite this YEPP's less than formidable design, Samsung doesn't skimp on sound or features. Read our review for more.

Ultracompact and stylish; FM and line-in recording; WOW effects; solid audio quality.

Not expandable; easy to lose; expensive.

The YEPP YP-T5V offers solid features and performance in a small package, but competitors offer better value.

Samsung Yepp YP-T5

Hardly bigger than a lipstick case, the Samsung Yepp YP-T5 V digital audio player has it all: a readable screen, up to 256MB capacity (with more capacious models promised), FM radio tuner (with recording), microphone and line-in recording, and a number...

Tiny and light. Excellent audio quality. Functional backlit screen. Rich feature set.

USB 1.1 interface slows load-and-go music infusions.

The Samsung Yepp YP-T5 V is a full-featured flash-based player that's almost weightless (1.3 ounces) and could get lost in your pocket. USB 2.0 would make it pretty much perfect.--

Samsung YEPP YP-T5H (128MB)

This tiny Yepp player from Samsung doesn't skimp on sound or features.

Ultracompact and stylish ; FM and line-in recording ; WOW effects ; Solid audio quality

Not expandable ; Easy to lose ; Somewhat pricey

Transfer speeds reached 0.7MB per second in our CNET Labs tests, which is fast for a USB 1.1 device. Battery life was also better than average; we got 12.9 hours of continuous playback from a single AAA cell.

Samsung YP-T5V Digital Audio Player

Samsung has recently lent me a bundle of goodies to review, and the current one on the bench I personally enjoyed very much. It's my please to introduce the YP-T5V 256MB Digital Audio Player. This plays not only MP3's but also WMA and WAV files as...

Very small ; Excellent battery life ; Clear, easy to read display ; Very good backlighting ; Plays MP3, WMA, & WAV files ; Codec upgrades possible by "Flashing" the unit

Memory size not upgradeable ; Cheap USB cover ; USB1.1

As you can see, the T5V is very small. I don't have that big of fingers and the bloody thing is not much bigger than them! Across the top here you see the little mic whole as well as the Record button for recording FM radio to MP3, and encoding from...

Samsung YP-T5V MP3 Player

Today we are looking at the Samsung Yepp YP-T5V MP3 player with FM Radio. This is possibly one of the smallest, lightest and most feature packed MP3 players on the market!

VERY SMALL ; Record feature (FM radio, line in and voice) ; Very good sound quality ; LCD and Joystick have colorful back lights ; Lots of storage capacity ; FM radio ; Included ear buds ; Included plastic case and neck strap ; Included patch cords and...

I looked hard and was unable to find anything that I did not like with the YP-T5 ; I dare you to find anything

Good things do come in small packages! All the amazing features of the Samsung Yepp YP-T5V blew me away! With the Yepp running at a little over 200 dollars Canadian it is a very affordable and feature packed MP3 player. I would highly recommend it to...
