Philips GoGear Muse 3 review

The Philips GoGear Muse 3 is a feature rich MP3 player - native support for FLAC, APE and Ogg Vorbis - marred by a laggy and confusing interface

Comprehensive feature set ; Audio playback good ; Headphones are excellent

Terrible and laggy interface ; Video playback grainy ; Heavy in the hand

In and of itself, the Philips GoGear Muse 3 isn’t a bad player at all. It has great audio and a wide array of features. However, stacked up against the almighty iPod, which it so desperately wants to mimic, it’s a couple of stars short of the full T3...

Philips GoGear Muse Review

The GoGear Muse by Philips is a no-frills touchscreen media player. It plays music and movies, and it plays them pretty darned well. Philips incorporates their FullSound technology into the GoGear Muse which greatly enhances your audio listening...

Easy to transfer media, headphones and audio quality are great, solid build quality, good battery life

Mini HDMI cable not included, HDMI-output didn't work for us, small buttons and finicky touch feedback, Songbird software is PC only

If you’re looking for a perfect alternative to the iPod Touch, then this is not it. If you’re looking for a basic, no-frills version of the iPod Touch, then that’s what GoGear Muse offers. Also, you’re not going to find an FM Tuner, expandable...

Great Idea, Terribly Executited

I mainly bought this to get a bigger media drive and to be able to watch media on my tv without having to put it on a flash drive to put on my xbox. It wasn't the drive that upset me off, it was the lack of support. I imagine if the support was better...

It functions

I read the software was terrible, but it's not as bad as people make it out to be. It isn't by any means an easy setup, you have to know what you're doing. Mainly bought to use with xbox 360 but the xbox would never find it. Read on their forums and a...

Do not Buy!

Overall the device simply does not work at least not as intended. It will store files and they are accessible over the internet if you move one file at a time. but even then it will crash on occasion (approx. once an hour) requiring a manual reset,...

The idea behind the device is great however the firmware, the drive itself, and the implementation leaves much to be desired

Constant crashing when moving files ; Poor software at best ; Glitch prone with multiple hang-ups and dismal performance
