iRiver's U10 is different. It eschews buttons for touch screen navigation and can show pictures and video as well as play music. Has the iPod nano met its match?
The intrigued aspect of it is that the device has a 2.2in, 320 x 240 screen that can display 260,000 colours – and that’s it. Rather than being festooned with myriad small buttons to small to press, all the navigation buttons are part of the screen....

Has iRiver produced the most desirable MP3 player out there? Riyad certainly thinks so.
iRiver has produced a superb portable music/media player in the shape of the clix 2. It's beautifully styled, easy to use, has a truly stunning screen and incredible sound quality. The clix is very well featured, while the ability to drag and drop...

Another new type of screen technology
Operating system ; Great sound quality ; Ingenious control system
Small screen ; Block noise
Not the ideal size for video viewing but the Clix makes the most of it and its operating system is pure genius

iRiver branches out into portable media players
Pleasantly compact ; High-quality screen ; Good audio quality
4:3 screen ; Video needs to be converted
An attractive and high-quality device but loses ground because of its screen

This is one of the most innovative players we've come across in recent times. Not only does it feature a click-screen to navigate the menu, it's built for movies as much as music, with its wide-aspect QVGA screen
Attractive, Click-screen operation, Well designed for movie playback
Pricey for the storage
It looks great and has a lot going for it, but needs a bit more capacity at this price

The small, sleek iRiver Clix 2nd Generation has pretty much everything you'd want in a flash-based media player, starting with a beautiful, easy-to-read display and good controls.
The iRiver Clix 2nd Generation is a lightweight, easy-to-use flash-based player, with a nice display and fairly good sound.

Our favourite alternative MP3 player has returned with a new slimline design and a refined spec list. But can it hunt down the Nano?

The U10 is a stunner with FM radio, solid build and the trusty endurance of 34-hour battery life

If small, ultralight media players are your bag, iRiver's U10 could be right up your street. The flash-based device weighs just 70g and is approximately the same size as a stack of business cards.
If your main concern in a media player is video, we'd recommend looking elsewhere; but if you want a sleek all-rounder that will easily fit your pocket, the iRiver U10 is hard to pass up. Compact and well-made, this is a versatile if pricey effort.

Enjoy listening to your favourite tracks with iRiver Clix 2. It is a 4 GB MP3 or media player that has a 55.88 mm screen at the centre with a 320 x 240 resolution. This screen is equipped with an Active Matrix Organic LED screen which allows each pixel...
This posh fella is one of the finest Flash players around with its fancy clicking ways. All told a fantastic slice of posh MP3 crumpet. If only we weren't so damnably common. iRiver Clix 2 is tagged with portable media player and iriver. Select a tag...
