This tiny audio player is inexpensive, but it has a bad navigation system.

Inexpensive Includes FM tuner

Doesn't record FM broadcasts, Lacks built-in microphone

If you're looking for a cheap, lightweight player to take to the gym, this is a good option so long as you don't want to adjust settings or find specific songs while on the treadmill. That combination of activities sounds like a recipe for a broken leg

Dell DJ Ditty

 

The Ditty is designed for people who want a simple player with a screen and an FM tuner.

Strong FM tuner. Decent earbuds. Equalization presets actually sound good. Small and light.

Scroll wheel can be difficult to use. Lag time when skipping tracks. No browsing by artist or album.

The DJ Ditty, which offers both an FM radio and support for subscription downloads, is Dell's answer to the iPod Shuffle.

Plays subscription files; has FM radio; inexpensive and easy to use; USB plug-in body.

Poor battery life; no playlist support or access to directory of files.

The Dell DJ Ditty is a decent low-cost option, but you can get more for your money from other offerings
