Wacom Intuos5 - Multi-Touch Makes a Difference

The Wacom Intuos5 comes enveloped in a matte rubber-coated finish, and includes soft contoured buttons in place of hard-edged side buttons and their labels found on the Intuos4. We dive in to see if its performance surpasses that of its predecessor.

Wacom Intuos5 Pen & Touch Medium PTH-650-EN

Pen is easy to use and accurate. The touch feature is really useful to navigate around the page when you are drawing. Quick keys are handy and programmable - I'm still figuring out which short cuts I need on here though!

It is quite expensive - but probably worth it!

Wacom Intuos5 Pen & Touch Medium PTH-650-EN

Great tablet, nice features. Easy to setup the functions for the buttons, radial and touch. Nicely packaged, and works well with the wireless kit that I bought with this. Nice and light and the pen is comfortable to hold.

Surface can be easy scratched. Best to get a protective sleeve to prolong its life in the long run. Not completely Windows 8 compatible yet. Sometimes pen can become over sensitive and have to reboot my laptop to fix the issue (I think this is a...

Wacom Intuos5 Pen & Touch Medium PTH-650-EN

Wacom produce the best drawing tablets on the market, perfect size

Very expensive for a pad (tablet), that does not have a LCD touch screen, so therefore isn't portable as you need to plug in into a computer to use it, though you can buy a wireless pack to use with it for 50+, more expense. My overall rating for the...

Wacom Intuos5 Pen & Touch Medium PTH-650-EN

Does everything my previous Intuos 3 did and more. Prefer the feel of the surface and the pen, more paper like than the Intuos 3

The shortcut buttons on the left hand side can be a little difficult to find. Still prefer the touch strip of the Intuos 3 to the touch wheel. Plus its not cheap.

- As with most Wacom products, they are quite pricey.

Wacom Intuos5 Pen & Touch Medium PTH-650-EN

Vast amount of customizable options and configurations, both in terms of the buttons on the tablet as well as full gesture capability. Great finish and build quality. The medium is a perfect size for me personally - not too big so that it fills my desk...

I have a few quibbles with the tablet though. My biggest is the driver for the tablet - seems that with the tablet relatively fresh on the market, bugs are present which need amending by Wacom. Sometimes the 'touch' function of the tablet stops working...
