Perfect in almost every way:

I'm a lefty so do yourself a favor and be sure to install the drivers from the CD if you're a lefty. If you try to install the newest version of the drivers from Wacom's website, you won't get the option to choose "left-handed" and the LED indicators...

I had a small Bamboo MTE-450 and moving to this was like a dream come true. I also had the Wacom Cintiq 12wx at one point but had a difficult time adjusting to it so I sold it ; This guy is the perfect size, has all the functions I need and gives me...

The mouse wasn't needed in my case. I don't think I'll ever actually use it. I can't help but feel that increased the overall price at least a few dollars. It would have been nice if it was optional ; Fingerprints are likely so keep a microfiber...

its worth it if you have the cash

besides for the known uses for tablets like art and design, i have placed a few RTS's and MMO's with it and once you get a good application profile setup i actually prefer the tablet over the mouse.

extremely customizable ; application profiles for all applications

takes up room on my desk, where will my clutter go now ; a tad pricy but the best

WACOM Intuos 4 PTK640 8.8" x 5.5" Active Area USB Professional Pen Tablet - Medium/Black

This is my first Wacom. It is much nicer than my off-market tablet, and rightfully so, but I suppose I expected more luxury out of the price. Additional nibs of varying gauges is a cool plus, but I will likely never use them. Would have done without...

Very accurate and natural-feeling. Ambidextrous-friendly and the button layout is intuitive. Button/wheel display is nice and bright. Surface is neither too smooth nor too textured

I get weird "ghosting" problems a few times an hour, where during the middle of a stroke the pen will jump to a corner of the screen, leaving a streak over the entire painting. This makes creating lavish strokes very difficult, since they have to be...

Amazing, or as Steve Jobs would say "It's Magical"

Get one today!

I'm a bit of an artist, I find there is a bit of a break in period acclimating to this versus paper. After that it's great. I agree with the reviews it's a great product. You don't need the mouse it comes with but nice if you are better with mouse...

Pricey but worth it over the lesser quality of the other tablets out there

In love!

I'm in love with it. I've wanted one of these since 2004 and I think technology has finally caught up with what I wanted. It even has things I'd never dream of!

It smells great out of the box. Has that new electronics smell. It's the medium sized one and wow. I don't even put the pen to the pad and it picks up what i'm doing ; It came with software bundled download which i'm going to get around to. I fiddled...

None yet. Probably setting up all the buttons for seperate software

Really great for a week

I really hate to not be able to use it as I liked it so much while I could use it but If Wacom can't re-create the bug and won't find other means to fix it then I might be left with no choice but to return it.

It was fantastic, I completely put away my old mouse and used Wacom's mouse. The pen and pressure sensitivity was also great. Sometimes I even only used the pen for everything using Windows 7 touch & pen features

After about 4 days things started to go downhill really fast, at first the mouse left-click started doing weird things when I used it such as double-clicking or not clicking at all. Several thousand people had this problem but Wacom announced they...

Great tablet

Black color means this is a very obvious dust collector, which could either be a good motivator or just a bad reminder, since it reminds you how frequently you're using it. But it looks nice when it's clean :P If you can't find your spare nibs, make...

Better sensitivity and much more natural feel than the cheap tablets they had at school ; Not too heavy, weight is like a light sketchbook. USB cable is about 7.5 feet, meaning you have some room to move it around ; The actual size of it is quite good....

Visible scratches were already on the drawing surface after my first few sketches, but they are only visible from an angle, can't be felt, and don't seem to affect drawing at all ; The non-active area is a bit large, which despite giving you a little...

Couldn't ask for more

Be aware of the aspect ratio of this tablet, and whatever display you will happen to be using it on. You should also look around at your setup, my own wasn't quite ready for the addition of this tablet, since its footprint is about as wide as my...

This tablet is my first, and after several years of looking at prices, and putting off buying one of these I couldn't help but slap myself in the forehead once I tried this one out ; Hours later I was blown away by the quality and elegance of every...

Does not include a carrying case/sleeve, although a neoprene notebook sleeve works perfect

Hooray!

Well, it's a Wacom tablet, what else is there to say?

Well, this thing performs just as it says ; A few edits in the config file to compensate for features that were removed in the driver, and everything is perfect

The usb connection to the tablet seems a little loose ; Ability to adjust pressure curve removed from driver
