Wacom Bamboo Fun Small review

Jealous of the Multi-Touch trackpads on the latest MacBooks? You can have something better!

Touch and pen work well ; Basic gesture support ; Good software bundle

Expensive

Simply brilliant. A big investment, perhaps, but definitely worth it

Wacom Bamboo Fun small

Bamboo Fun is an A6-wide version of the Wacom Bamboo tablet and pen we reviewed in more depth in issue 184 (July 2007). It's been slightly remodelled in the Fun version (it now has rounded corners), but the pressure pad and pen are just as sensitive.

Compact yet easy to use, Great software

Takes getting used to

Lovely to see such an able tablet on offer for this price. The excellent software completes the package

Wacom Bamboo Fun Small Graphics Tablet Review

We look at the Wacom Bamboo Fun Small Pen and Touch Graphics Tablet. Find out how it performs in our review.

1024 pressure levels; Easy to setup and use; Good value for money; Can use pen or multi-touch; Can be setup for dual or single monitors

Would be nice if wireless was included as standard

If you are looking to do lots of artwork and need delicate control from the pen, then I’d try another of the Wacom pads instead.

Wacom Bamboo Fun Pen & Touch CTH661 review

Editors' note: In July 2010, we re-evaluated the Bamboo Pen and Touch and compared it with the Apple Magic Trackpad . Read our analysis here .

Reasonable price; multitouch controls work seamlessly alongside pen; attractive design.

No mouse.

Multitouch in place of a mouse may not appeal to pro designers, but the Bamboo Fun Pen and Touch is an excellent choice for mobile users who want to begin dabbling with art tools.

Wacom Bamboo Fun Pen & Touch Medium

Easy to use Spare pen nibs are included Comfortable size Useful softwares are included

Pen nibs wearing out quicker than I expected - but that's easy and cheap to replace.

Wacom Bamboo Fun Pen & Touch Medium

Easy to use. Accurate.

Remote control unit is a waste of money.. Tablet doesn't keep charged for long and so mine is now permanently connected. The supplied lead is too short to be practical. I use a longer one that I had lying about.

Changing button behaviour through software not entirely straightforward.
