Steel Series Ikari Laser Mouse

Ah, gamers, we're an odd bunch. We spend all this money on the best hardware so we can play all the latest games with their amazing eye-candy. But when it comes to actually competing against each other online we turn all the graphical effects off so we...

SteelSeries Ikari Laser Mouse Review

We've reviewed a fair amount of mice recently at Vortez.co.uk and we have another to add to the bunch. The SteelSeries Ikari Laser, boasting 3200DPI.

Great ergonomics ; Very comfortable ; Excellent overall performance ; Sentivity and profile control

Not suitable for left-handed gamers ; No weight system

The Ikari Laser Mouse offers rock solid performance straight out of the box, it may not look bright and dazzling but the beautifully crafted exterior will slip into your hand and provide you with a brilliantly balanced tool giving you that edge in game.

SteelSeries Ikari Laser Gaming Mouse

Gaming peripherals have come a long way with hardcore gamers always looking for the perfect device to master those kills. Be it a headset, surface or mouse, gamers are always on the lookout for the best hardware available in the market to fit their...

After testing the mouse with so many games, i come back to the issue of the ergonomics of the right button. Using the mouse for consecutive hours, my hand was a bit sore from the experience. But more than this, the Ikari loses out on its price tag....

Steelseries Ikari Laser Mouse (White) Review

The re-colored old champ still packs a punch.

gorgeous looks, great design, comfortable, superb performance, software-free DPI changer, great driver and software, LCD screen

expensive than other in the class, mouse would be unresponsive on boot-up sometimes, only 2 DPI settings possible

Flipping the mouse over, you will see a tiny rectangle LCD screen that displays the profiles name. The profile and its name can be set via the bundled software. This is a handy little tool that directly relays the information you need without having...

Steelseries Ikari Laser Mouse

Steelseries is well known for being a quality gaming peripheral company. Their headsets and mouse pads are seen all over any just about any lanpartys or tournament that you go to. Up until last year their mouse line was basically a Microsoft mouse with...

Simply put, you can tell that Steelseries's focus is directly on the gaming market. There isn't one feature on the mouse that wasn't well thought out and tested specifically for gamers and by gamers. I was impressed by the shape and comfort of the...

Steelseries IKARI Laser Mouse

SteelSeries have built a name for themselves over the years by producing some of the most popular gaming headsets and surfaces in the business. We have looked at a couple of their other accessories recently though, namely the 7G Keyboard and their...

SteelSeries Ikari Laser Gaming Mouse

The quest for the "perfect" mouse is a never ending task, if you're anything like me you've got a drawer full of mice that you've used over the years, and like to keep your eye out of the latest and greatest.

Easy Setup ; Excellent Performance ; Adjustable DPI on the fly ; Easy to Use Software

Nothing Major

I've used quite a few mice over the years; personally I really enjoy getting a new mouse. Sometimes getting a new mouse can take a bit of adjustment, but that's not the case with the Ikari, other than the slightly different feel of the mouse, it's...

SteelSeries Ikari Laser Mouse

SteelSeries feels their competition is doing things wrong, but does that mean they are doing things right? After taking a look at their Ikari laser mouse, we can wholeheartedly say "yes"! The Ikari is catered for gamers, and it shows. Simply put? The...

Extremely comfortable, great button placement ; Sensitivity can be fine-tuned to the greatest degree ever possible ; Accuracy might as well be perfect on a decent surface (even a $2 cloth mat) ; Automatic error correction can be removed/adjusted as the...

Current software doesn't allow a mouse button to be programmed to a single key

I've been using the Ikari for a few weeks now, and have played a wide variety of games (F.E.A.R., Counter-Strike: Source, Quake 4, Crysis, BioShock, Portal, Oblivion, etc.) and I can easily say that the Ikari is the best mouse I have ever used. The...

SteelSeries Ikari Laser

Ergonomically, this is one of the most comfortable mouse devices I and my very large hand have ever used. Your hand rests comfortably on the mouse with your index and middle fingers falling naturally onto the two primary buttons. The thumb rests just...

Very comfortable with smooth, even tracking and precise response, high resolution that can be adjusted on the fly

No wireless model available

I was very skeptical about this mouse but all of my fears were laid to rest after trying the mouse and I can truthfully say, this is my favorite mouse for gaming and, preferably for the comfort, everything else as well. I am glad I am not left-handed...
