Pause the CPI chase, cue the polling rate race.
Mouse movements can look smoother on screen ; Ambidextrous ; Many programmable buttons ; No 8,000 Hz price premium
High polling rate can be inconsistent ; Adaptive-Sync should be turned off ; Half of the 4 side buttons are hard to use ; Not great for palm grips
The Razer Viper 8K Hz shows what an 8,000 Hz polling rate can do to improve the tracking of fast mouse movements if you have a powerful enough setup. But the Razer Viper series has its own design flaws, like some inconveniently placed side buttons.

The Razer Viper is an excellent option for lefties and just fine for righties.
Solid performance ; Razer Speedflex cable ; Doesn’t hinder left-handed players
Half the side buttons are hard to use ; No standout features ; Too small for most palm grippers
The Razer Viper is a middling gaming mouse with solid technology undermined by its build, which specifically targets claw and fingertip grips but not the common palm grip. Still, it’s among the best options for left-handed players.

Razer are known for their premium peripherals and their triple-headed snake is one of the most recog It's a brand new mouse from Razer, weighing just 69g. Is it worth the money?
Stylish.
Expensive.
If you’re serious about your gaming the Razer Viper is a mouse you definitely want to get your hands on. With almost no faults, an excellent sensor and lightweight body, the Viper is a fantastic mouse that is definitely worth buying.

The Razer Viper was designed with professional gamers in mind, boasting a super light chassis and flexible cable.
Lightweight design without honeycomb shell ; Flawless optical sensor ; Good build quality ; Flexible cable and optical switches
Sharp edges around mouse ; Cable not equally flexible throughout its length

The Razer Viper 8K promises the fastest data transfers you'll see in an esports mouse—if your PC contains powerful enough components.

The comfortable, light, and quick Razer Viper refines the company's esports offerings with an excellent gaming mouse.
Comfortable for a low-profile mouse. Optical/mechanical switches increase durability. Anti-drag cord allows for smooth movement.
Expensive for an esports mouse.
Bottom Line: The comfortable, light, and quick Razer Viper refines the company's esports offerings with an excellent gaming mouse.

Razer adds venom to its Viper 8K gaming mouse
Excellent performance ; Comfortable ambidextrous design ; Lightweight ; 8K polling rate, 20K DPI
Weight isn't adjustable ; Symmetrical design won't be for everyone ; Unintuitive DPI button placement
With the Viper 8K, Razer improves upon the original in small, but meaningful ways while keeping the price the same.

Razer Viper 8KHz Review – As gaming keyboards get higher polling rate (like the CORSAIR K100 RGB‘s 4000Hz polling rate), there aren't much to see in the mouse department. At least, until Razer Viper 8KHz comes along. With 8000Hz polling rate support,...
Ambidextrous, comfortable ; Rubbery grip material makes it easy to grip ; Intelligent, accurate sensor ; 8000Hz polling rate, but has 2000Hz and 4000Hz options too ; Lightweight ; Excellent cable, feet, and buttons design
Requires a beefy PC & high refresh rate monitors to utilise its full potential ; Not enough RGBs?
Apart from the top-end 8000Hz polling rate, Razer has also added their latest, top-notch components into this excellent, esport-worthy gaming mouse

The quickest click in the west.
Speedy optical switches ; Super lightweight 69g frame ; Exceptionally smooth glide ; 16K DPI and 5G sensor ; Comfortable
Design won't be to everyone's taste ; DPI button's hard to reach during use
The look of Razer's new esports mouse may not be to everyone's tastes, but you can't argue with its performance.
