Microsoft Sidewinder X3 gaming mouse

An entry-level Microsoft gaming mouse for left- and right-handed users

Precise and speedy performance, ambidextrous design, programmable controls, affordable price

Lacking in 'wow' factor, DPI sensitivity could be higher, 'budget gaming mouse' is a bit of an oxymoron

The Microsoft Sidewinder X3 is a stripped-down alternative to the Sidewinder X5. While a few bells-and-whistles are gone, its performance is on par with its sibling. It will mainly appeal to cash-strapped and/or left-handed gamers (in fact, feel free...

SideWinder X3 Mouse

Though Microsoft's Sidewinder line of PC peripherals are always solidly respectably, resolutely functional, the new SideWinder X3 Mouse just doesn't cut muster when stacked up against the many similar offerings available from other performance...

At forty bucks US, fifty Cdn, Microsoft's SideWinder X3 Mouse is certainly "affordable" - a tad pricier than a "regular" mouse but less than most gamer-class pointing devices, which run from about $50 up to some $150 for the hardcore Uber rodents.

Microsoft SideWinder X3 Gaming Mouse Review

Gaming mice tend to be expensive if you go with high-end products. The problem with high-end gaming mice is that they are almost exclusively right hand only designs meaning that left-handed gamers are left out. With the current economy many gamers...
