Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 review

Measuring 61x97x43mm, the Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 is a little wider and taller than the Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3000, which makes a world of difference when it comes to comfort.

The Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 is a nice mouse, nice enough to be used on a regular basis, not just when you’re traveling with your laptop.

A stylish mouse designed for mobile users, Microsoft's BlueTrack Technology offers anywhere scrolling.

The Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 is a nice mouse, nice enough to be used on a regular basis, not just when you're traveling with your laptop. If you use Snow Leopard, be sure to download the IntelliPoint driver software.

Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 review

Stylish mouse designed for mobile users from Microsoft.

Comfortable for both right- and left-handers; tracks on almost any surface; can store USB receiver inside mouse; stylish

Some users may not like the smooth-rolling scroll wheel; no Bluetooth option; bundled with software that isn't Snow Leopard compatible; glossy finish tends to show wear

I use a MacBook Pro on a daily basis, and I prefer to use a mouse than the trackpad. I find most mobile mice too small or too light, and for a while, I used Microsoft’s Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 Special Edition.

Review: Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000

The Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 is a nice mouse, nice enough to be used on a regular basis, not just when you're traveling with your laptop.

Measuring 2.4 by 3.8 by 1.7 inches, the 6000 is a little wider and taller than the 3000, which makes a world of difference to me when it comes to comfort. While I didn’t have difficulty using the 3000, I was always conscious of its smallness. Not so...

Leave the Nano Transceiver plugged in when you're on the go, or stow it in the mouse.

Several months after Logitech launched several mobile mice featuring nano transceivers, Microsoft is finally fighting back by introducing the Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 with a nano transceiver, which are ideal for use with laptops and netbooks due to...

Can leave transceiver in laptop/netbook USB port while traveling ; Nano transceiver less prone to damage than standard transceiver ; Ambidextrous design ; Works on unconventional surfaces one might find while traveling

Small size makes it uncomfortable to use for extended periods of time ; Easy to forget to turn off mouse

While the small size of Microsoft's Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 makes it less than desirable when used for long periods of time, the compact design makes it ideal for the road warrior who often times has very limited space and may have to use the mouse...

Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 Review

Though plumper, the 2.4 by 3.8-inch Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 is reminiscent of Apple's Mighty Mouse in its simple, elegant design -- a symmetrical or ambidextrous, glossy black oval with classy chrome strips on each side, comfy rubber side grips, and...
