Microsoft SideWinder X8 Mouse

Hybrid wired/wireless design eliminates downtime between battery charges; BlueTrack sensor expands mousing surface options; easy on-the-fly macro recording; 4,000dpi maximum.

Scroll wheel needs a better grip; signal drop-off in wireless mode at high sensitivity.

Microsoft's SideWinder X8 isn't the only mouse that can swap seamlessly between wired and wireless modes; however, between its BlueTrack sensor and its on-the-fly macro recording capability--not to mention a competitive price--we imagine few PC gamers...

Was good while the middle mouse button lasted

Worked amazing. Buttons have a good click to them, and the it felt nice in my large paws. Microsoft refunded my purchase price because of the failure

Awful

Don't buy this

It looks nice

Buggy as hell, has major recharge issues (it will fail to recognize it's plugged in even when it is), laser malfunctions often causing jumping cursor, half the function buttons stopped working after 2 months. Awful awful mouse, I went back to my cheap...

Rip microsoft sidewinder x8 :(

Nows its in the drawer along with my other useless electronics. Replaced it with a G500 and havent looked back.

Was good back in the days

anything wireless would make it act up, contacts on charger would only work a certain way. Really hate it dying during gaming, had a wired mouse on standby which was used often o_0

The WORST mouse I have ever used

PLEASE, do not waste your money on this awful product. I've used plenty of mouse from traveling to gaming and i really didn't think someone could make a product this bad. I thought it was me that bought a defected one but really from the awkward form...

3 dpi settings

I don't really know where to start so please bear with me ; First of all the the feel is very awkward, and the 4 corners in the bottom aren't padded so the way it moves on the surface is very rough and it tore up my desk. The mouse sometimes randomly...

Seemed OK at first

Will not buy another MS mouse. This thing was stupid expensive and lasted 1 month past the warrenty.

Tracked well and fit hand well

Acts wild and crazy for no reason. Suddenly will act like the drunk guy at the party, flies wildly or wont do anything. Have to pull the battery and may start working again for 2 min or 50

I hate this mouse

I plan on getting a new mouse soon, thinking about going with something from the razor variety.

This mouse is designed for those of you out there with big hands. I also seem to have issues with the left and right click buttons not being so responsive. Sometimes the mouse pointer lags. I got to the point where im back to using my old mouse again
