Read Logitech Clicksmart 420

To spare a long, windy introduction about the ways of the past slowly disappearing, let me put it this way – society is going digital. One of the primary things becoming digital is picture taking, which benefits greatly from the lack of film to mess up...

Low Price ; Stylish design ; Multiple capabilities ; Excellent management software

Poor contrast in web cam function ; Flash too strong ; Resolution at default picture size poor

Overall, due to this lack in picture quality, which is always the most important thing in any camera, the Clicksmart was a bit of a disappointment. This product, however, is not without a niche in the market. With its low price, it would be ideal for...

Good for general use

400 dpi optical sensor

It has lasted for countless years The design is basic and fine

If you try to flick the mouse too fast, it will fail to track it and jitter everywhere. So not a mouse for gaming.

Just keeps on going.

As others have said, this mouse won't revolutionize your gaming experience, but if you're like me, you won't need fancy equipment or a $4,000 computer to knock heads all day.

Had the USB variant of this mouse for many, many years (5+), and in those 5 years I haven't had a single issue with it. It's a solid, hardy, reliable 3-button mouse that seems to just keep on going. The only reason I started looking for a new mouse is...

The DPI could have been a bit higher, but with the sensitivity turned all the way up in Windows, it got the job done.

Logitech SBF-96 Black 3 Buttons 1 x Wheel PS/2 Wired Optical Mouse

Duh....,

All I can say is 'what a meece' I have several wireless mice, but for critical work I like a wired a mouse (you know, like critically surfing the Internet or video editing) This bad boy has a nice long cord, seems pretty responsive and it's a product...

huh? cons of a mouse? it don't squeak or eat my cheese

Logitech SBF-96

none

Not a left handed mouse like it sells itself to be. Now will have to learn the buttons backwards or send back this mouse. Wasted $14 on a "left handed" mouse and 3 days waiting time.

Logitech SBF-96

long cord, simple two main buttons and a scroll wheel like I want a mouse to be and it's black

Every once in a while my cursor jumps to a corner. It doesn't happen often enough to remove an egg, but I should mention it.

blue screen

Got a blue screen of Death on XP (STOP: 0x000000D1) which has all the blame on Logitech and bad version of Mouseware. This mouse does not come with Mouseware so I went and found a 2004 version to fix.

Optical on PS/2, no batteries. Tracks well on mousepad. Wheel is silent, feels right and looks good. Plus a very long cord.

Mouse comes with no software. Logitech said no downloads needed or available for this model.

Meh ...

I bought this mouse because the lion's share of optical mice are USB and the adapter doesn't seat well on my KVM switches. I almost just bought it a second time not realizing it was exactly the same unit but it is and it sucks and you should know about...

Logitech is allegedly a name-brand. PS/2 (vs USB w/ PS/2 adapter) Cheap (for Logitech)

Mine was probably just a defective unit. MY IOGear KVM's hate it, it would constantly gliched out and throw the cursor into no-man's land. Poor quality cable broke after a few months of use causing the cursor to freeze if I didn't hold the the mouse...

Reliable, no frills

I'm thinking.......

Plug it in.... basic PS2 mouse, no weights, hidden buttons, fancy lights...it's just a mouse. It works.
