Logitech G9X Laser Mouse

The Logitech G9X Laser Mouse aims to please and hits the mark in terms of performance and design, though its maximum DPI isn't as high as that of some competing gaming mice.

Interchangeable weight, grip, and LEDs. Tangle-free braided sleeve on cord. Custom profiles can be made. On-board memory.

No wireless option. Pricey. Designed only for right-handed users.

Logitech G9x

Swap-in grips. Good software.

Button placement isn't great. Weight system is fiddly.

While the G9x is definitely a competent player, we feel purely as a function of its age that there are now better options available to the hardcore gamer.

Logitech G9x

When we first reviewed the original Logitech G9 (November 2007), we didn't like it. Specifically, we thought it was uncomfortable to hold, using either of the removable shells. In fact, we described it as “not particularly comfortable for day-to-day...

The best sensor we've ever tested. On-the-fly sensitivity adjustment. Driver-less profiles

The satiny texture of the Wide Load shell gets sweaty & gross after long sessions

As before, we love the G9x’s profile feature, which lets you switch between pre-configured profiles on the fly on any PC, whether you have Logitech’s software installed or not (you will need to have Logitech’s software installed to configure the...

Two interchangeable grips included ; Laser engine with 200~5700 DPI sensitivity range ; Connects using HiSpeed USB-2.0 ; Ten pre-programmed onboard memory profiles ; Custom weight-tuning system ; Logitech SetPoint software expands capabilities ;...

5700 DPI sensitivity requires SetPoint software ; Cord may collect surface dust ; Expensive... but worth it ; Wide Load grip lacks pinkie support

Although the ratings and final score mentioned in this conclusion are made to be as objective as possible, please be advised that every author perceives these factors differently at various points in time. While we've done our best to ensure that all...

Logitech G9x Laser Mouse

When it comes to mice and keyboards gaming or otherwise there is one company everyone recognizes. Logitech is by far the largest peripheral manufacture in the world. In fact December of last year they produced their Billionth mouse, that's a lot of...

Overall Even though when I heard about the G9x I was a little skeptical about it, I was pleasantly surprised with a mouse that gives you the ability to change/adjust/tweak/tune every single aspect of it. No other mouse has the ability to change its...

Logitech G9x Laser Gaming Mouse

Got this to replace my G9 which finally died after many years (didn't bother for an RMA as it was an RMA itself). Very comfortable and feature rich Mouse; Weight configuration is a "must have" for my mouse selection now; Ability to choose covers and...

Being obsessive about your mouse configuration is a bit sad and will win you no friends in life.

Logitech G9x Laser Gaming Mouse

The design is pretty good, feels comfortable in the hand.

The middle mouse button is terrible, unresponsive in clicking in standard scrolling mode, requiring more pressure than any other mouse I've used, with little click feedback to show you've pressed it. Perhaps mine is faulty, I don't know, but it is...
