Kensington PilotMouse Mini Wireless review: Kensington PilotMouse Mini Wireless

Kensington PilotMouse Mini Wireless

Great performance; stowable receiver; three programmable buttons; comfortable grip.

Uncomfortable to use for long periods; no sleep shut off; small scrollwheel.

This travel-size mouse isn't the most comfortable, but its operation is flawless, and its receiver is stowable, making it one of our favorites.

I love it and came back to get another one

Just a suggestion to the manufactures. Would be nice if we didn't have to plug in a receiver, I have had to modify the cover due to having it for so long and so many battery changes that the plastic latch finally gave out. However I have had it for 4-5...

Very small so very easily packed for travel ; I have used it for days for many hours at a time and my hand doesn't hurt ; Very responsive and accurate ; I have many different kinds of mice from wired to bluetooth and this is by far my favorite

Does eat batteries pretty quickly but if I but good batteries its not too bad ; The one I have is the same mouse but I see they now have a on/off switch. I'd rather just have it go into sleep mode but not a big deal

great product deserves great ratings

I saw the bad ratings and had to comment. I bought this mouse two years ago to go with my laptop, and it has never failed me. I've taken it with me on multiple overseas travels, so I know it can take a beating. I don't know why the other reviewers...

Works like it should. Plug and play. Fantastic. No complaints whatsoever

It tends to "eat" batteries. Usually a set of batteries lasts me 2-3 weeks with heavy use (8~9 hours per day). I buy AAAs on clearance at the dollar store, so that's not a big problem for me. Also, rarely I have to coax the mouse to communicate with...

There are much better notebook mice

Even if this mouse had worked, the design is lousy. Mouse is very small (less than 3.5"L x 1.75"w), but even if that's what you want, the receiver is big & chunky.

Plug & play with Windows

Arrived DOA - mouse would not sync w/receiver. Receiver does not attach to mouse when not in use. On/off 'switch' requires holding scroll wheel while pressing connect button on bottom

Died after 3 days

Very small. Plug and play

Died after 3 days. Won't be buying Kensington again

Good overall

Compact size, okay range for laptop use, programmable buttons (lots of options for the click actions - including ejecting the CD drive, running a program, simulating typing, etc.

Small size makes it straining to use for lengths of time.

Nice mouse

Small, good response, battery life and range are pretty good

Kensington drivers/software were a bit wonky. Uninstalled them and used the WinXP drivers instead. So far, so good

Never buying Kensington again

None

Was not truly "plug&play", usually had to keep plugging and unplugging and hope I get lucky. Drains batteries very quickly. Kensington device drivers corrupted my system registry and I was unable to use any kind of pointing device; had to reinstall...
