HP Wi-Fi Mobile Mouse review

If you want a wire-free mouse to use with your laptop, but don't reckon you can spare a USB port for a wireless dongle, the HP Wi-Fi Mobile Mouse may be right up your street.

Windows 7 users only need apply, but they're in for a bit of a treat: a smart, reliable, comfy and accurate wireless mouse that doesn't even need a dongle to perform its magic.

HP Wi-Fi Mobile Mouse

The HP Wi-Fi Mobile Mouse connects via your computer's Wi-Fi signal—something rather new to the peripheral space—and although this wireless connection offers more compatibility than Bluetooth, it's not as reliable.

No USB dongles to plug in, tags on to your Wi-Fi signal. Rubber side grips. Browser buttons. Ambidextrous. Vertical scrolling.

Signal cuts out on occasion. No support for Mac OS or older versions of Windows.

HP Wi-Fi Mobile Mouse (Black)

By using your wireless receiver to connect to your PC, the ; frees up USB ports for connectivity-starved travelers.

The mouse won't work without Windows 7, and it will be unreliable if you don't have a Windows 7-certified wireless adapter.

Thanks to its unique, reliable Wi-Fi-based connection methodology, the HP Wi-Fi Mobile Mouse is easy to recommend to mobile Windows 7 PC users who need more available USB ports.

HP wifi mouse is as worthless as whistle on a plow!

I take it out of the junk box every few months, down load a driver and fool with it for an hour then throw it back in after it doesn't work.

Looks nice. Uses common batteries.

Will not work.

Pure garbage

I wonder what garage this mouse was invented in :-)

Allegedly can save you USB port

Can't be paired with majority of WiFi card ; The only way to find out if your hardware is compatible is to buy mouse ; There is no compatibility list on HP website ; I've visited their support forum for this garbage mouse and there are many complaints...

Unexpectedly Great!

I'm a HUGE Mac guy and I love the fact that for a long time Mac laptops have had nothing sticking out to break off, especially a delicate optical drive tray. That is the reason for me choosing the U400 as my sole PC. That make both of my laptops very...

Fantastic mouse! Was reluctant to try it but I'm very happy with it so far ; I decided to use my favorite Rosewill wireless mouse with my work laptop and needed another mouse for my personal laptop, a Lenovo U400. This thing exceeded ALL of my...

None that I know of as yet. I haven't had it long enough to assess battery life

HP Wi-Fi Mobile Mouse

Have been very happy with this mouse. Installed by download from network and it has been great ever since. It takes a few seconds upon startup to sync to WiFi adapter since we use the WiFi network for our laptop connection. I am getting my daughter one...

HP Wi-Fi Mobile Mouse

The WiFi is slow to connect and times out repeatedly, producing another small, but noticeable lag in response. The wheel button is hard to use for a single "middle button" click, as you have to push it precisely straight down. If you don't, you get the...
