Microsoft Explorer Touch Mouse

The Microsoft Explorer Touch Mouse offers up unique touch-based scrolling for a respectable price.

Designed for right- or left-handed use. Wireless. Can be used on a wide variety of surfaces.

Design is not ergonomic.

Review: Microsoft’s Touch Mouse And Explorer Touch Mouse

I got a chance to play with two of Microsoft's three touch mouse offerings — the Explorer Touch Mouse and the flagship Touch Mouse — and as far as ideas go, they're absolutely wonderful. But in terms of execution, the whole “touch” part didn't exactly...

Also very comfortable in the hand ; Solid tactile feedback on all actions ; Performs well on any surface

The touch strip always feels a bit… grippy ; Still sloppy scrolling, but better than big brother

So maybe the actual touch portion of these two mice wasn’t as amazing as I had hoped. But as far as your standard mice are concerned, these two have ‘em beat. When it comes to the every day, basic uses of a mouse, both the Microsoft Touch Mouse and The...

Pretty Good

A nice wireless mouse at a great price.

Low profile and light, this mouse is small enough to throw in a laptop bag with ease without being considered a "small" mouse. This mouse has great styling and slides around with ease

For whatever reason I believed "touch" to be a capacitive touch, maybe because I was originally looking at the next level up mouse originally. The scroll wheel is the "touch" part. It is like a big multiple position rocker switch. Scroll action is very...

Fantastic

Feels a little jarring at first to use the touch wheel, but after a half hour is feels natural to me.

Has all the benefits of touch without losing the feelinging of clicking. The scroll "wheel" is especially awesome and everything is fully customizable through the intellipoint software. Accurate on all the surfaces around me

A little shorter than my last mouse, but since I'm 6'5 with big hands I suspect this would only be a problem for me

Pretty cool...

Would love to see a wireless version especially since it uses a battery. I use Linux almost exclusively, but I gotta give M.S. a thumbs up on this one.

I had the opportunity to play with one of these in a usability study a few months ago and was very impressed. The touch-pad offered more control than an actual wheel mouse and it felt completely natural in no time at all. With feedback from the...

Made me want to use shameless better mouse (trap) cliche

Horrible"

This must be the worst mousing experience I've ever had. I installed themouse on Windows 7 64-bit and performance was so bad, I thought it must bebecause I needed to download the mouse software from MS (no disk is included inthe pack). Having installed...

Pros ---------- * Mouse resolution is good and precise (1000 DPI). Very good for average photo editing. * 18 months battery life !! (Rated) * Mouse shape is good to hold (if you are fond of small mouse). * 5 mouse button (left-right click and 3 on...
