EVGA Torq X5 Review (Optical Mouse)

There is no doubt that EVGA make exceptional graphics cards, or that their motherboards are top notch too… even that their support is some of the best around. Peripherals, well that we've never seen from them. Today we find out if they can continue the...

Starting with the build quality and design of the mouse we were initially a little disappointed with the Torq X5. The glossy surface felt a little slippery and we would have much preferred a textured/matt/rubberized finish. Having said that, it does...

EVGA TORQ X5 Gaming Mouse Review

EVGA is a brand that we typically know for graphics card and motherboards, but they actually make quite a lot of other products. One of those products happen to

– Ambidextrous design ; – Slim and light ; – Great software ; – Comfortable ; – Make with quality switches and sensor ; – Price

– Top coating can get slippy after many hours of gaming

EVGA is not a name I typically think of when it comes to gaming peripherals, but I was pleasantly surprised with the TORQ X5 gaming mouse. It has a great feel to it and is the perfect mouse for an FPS gamer. On top of that it has some nice styling and...

Great mouse for the price.

I almost gave this mouse 5 eggs in spite of its cons, but I do miss the scripting function in the Logitech software.

This mouse is very affordable at the price I paid for it ($35). 1000 Hz polling rate. Comfortable and light. The color LED is a nice feature.

Macro settings aren't too advanced. My old Logitech mouse software had highly customizable macros and a scripting function that could do many things. The EVGA software macro settings are incredibly basic and not very intuitive. Because of the...

Works well

Overall It is well worth the money

Works well as advertised, Adjustable sensitivity is great. I am very happy with the product at the price, it is clearly built well and great quality.

No copy of the software with it, yeah it was super easy to DL but it would have been nice to have a URL to find the software directly instead of hunting on the web site. Yeah it only took 5min but that 5min could have been saved with a direct url...

Be sure to get the software!

Bought this after reading some positive reviews. EVGA is a top video card manufacturer but an unknown in gaming mice. This, along with the x10 and x3 are their first shot and its a pretty good one. I'm avoiding Razer mice now that their software...

Beautiful mouse when the red lights are off. The pearlescent white isn't done justice in photos. Comfortable to use and lightweight. Works well for fingertip-grip, feels a little too short for those who prefer to palm their mice ; Be sure to download...

Misbehaved prior to firmware update. The mouse wheel would occasionally register a roll in the wrong direction, and the cursor was a wee skippy. Solved with very little effort but it wasn't perfect out of the box ; The white section of the mouse is a...
