CM Storm Spawn

Claw grip is surprisingly comfortable. Lightness contributes to good dexterity. Good accuracy.

So light that it drifts across your surface when your hand is off it. Surface is slipperier than expected. Mouse doesn't sit stably on surface. Macros feature has a pitifully low entry limit. DPI switchers could be placed better.

The Spawn isn't terrible by a long shot — but in the hyper-competitive world of gaming mice, it's going to need a few more revisions before we recommend that you spend your hard-earned money on it.

It's a mouse

this mouse is absolutely amazing. despite its small size it can really pack a claw grip punch. Yes I said CLAW grip but for people with smaller hands it's easy to palm it. The DPI switcher is nice and tactile as with the other buttons. The surface is a...

The software and customization is limited but I guess I should've seen that one coming.

CM Storm Spawn

Bought this back in 2012 after my old Intellimouse died and I couldnt find any reasonably priced fingertip grip mice. Lasted 3 years almost to the day before my left click finally started double clicking, even after cleaning out the switch the problem...

very comfortable for claw/fingertip grip users ; clicks feel meaty, not light with some other mice ; not very heavy (which could also be a con for some people) ; decently affordable compared to other mice

rubber grips catch dirt in them very easily ; outside of the mouse click, it does feel rather cheap ; thumb buttons have lots of travel and feel squishy, not very tactile ; iffy sensor

Great Value For Money

I had this mouse go bad after 1.5 years, but I was still able to RMA it and it's working great again. It has a 2 year warranty, btw.

very comfortable, great for claw grips. I think it's greatest for a palm+claw mix ; comfortable buttons as well, not too hard to depress, but not too easy to accidentally depress ; very grippy, rubber sides ; not too heavy, but not flimsy feeling (90g...

could have a braided cable, but not worth deducting an egg

COOLER MASTER SGM-2000-MLON1

Note that you can update your mouse firmware here: http://gaming.coolermaster.com/en/products/mice/spawn/

I purchased this mouse on sale for $35 USD and it's a great peripheral for the price. This is my first claw-grip mouse and adapting to the new grip was no problem at all. There are sort of set places for each of your fingers. The mouse is comfortable...

I cannot say the same for quality the back and forward side button switches though - they feel somewhat cheap. The mouse's firmware can tend to misbehave if you click any of its buttons while your computer is off or booting, but that's easily avoidable...
