Planar IX2850

The Planar IX2850 is a solid 28-inch 4K monitor that delivers a sharp high-resolution image and is equipped with all the I/O connections you'll need.

Crisp Ultra-High-Definition (UHD) imagery. Good gray-scale performance. Lots of I/O ports.

Middling color accuracy. Limited stand adjustability.

Conclusion If you're in the market for a 28-inch UHD monitor, but want to keep the price under $600, the Planar IX2850 is a solid choice. It handles 4K images with aplomb and has no trouble displaying all shades of gray. Moreover, its viewing-angle...

Great experience

This is my first 4k monitor. I would buy another one if I was in the market for a new 4k monitor. Being un-initiated to display port, I didn't know I had to adjust the monitor to the proper mode through the on-screen menu. Caused me about 30 seconds of...

No dead pixels (knock on wood) ; Looks fantastic ; Price at time of purchase ($450) ; Responsive buttons

As some report, the stand is a bit flimsy. The monitor moves when I push buttons. However, the buttons are very sensitive and the stand is large enough to keep it from tipping

fantastic 4k uhd monitor

not sure why the other review - states that 4k resolution cannot be achieved. I had no problems with getting 4k (uhd) res using a displayport cable. I'm using it with a mini-displayport to displayport cable from my surface pro 3 (SP3). connection works...

4k (uhd) resolution ; picture at 4k is beautifully crisp ; viewing angles aren't bad ; contrast seems great for a TN panel ; very usable (even if a bit small) for me at default (100%) desktop scaling in windows

stand is indeed a bit wobbly as the other reviewer noted, but the amount of wobble isn't catastrophic for me (although probably worse than an other monitor stand I've come across) - there is a VESA compatible mounting bracket, so the stand can easily...

Cheap trash

I don't know why I thought this was a good idea. I never even got a 4K picture out of it.

Inexpensive. Energy-efficient

Stand arrived broken, entirely plastic, wobbles at the slightest touch ; Clusters of dead pixels near center of screen, no QA ; Capacitive touch buttons are poorly placed, unresponsive, sometimes register phantom presses. Oh, and even touching them...
