MSI Optix MAG321CURV 32-Inch 4K Gaming Monitor Review: Budget-Friendly

No-frills 4K gaming monitor with a curve

Contrast ; Sharp image ; Accurate color ; Quality build and styling

No Adaptive-Sync ; HDR is underwhelming ; No extended color ; 60 Hz max refresh rate

The MSI Optix MAG321CURV is great for general use, delivering 4K resolution, good contrast and accurate color for only $400. But for gamers, the lack of G-Sync or FreeSync and DCI-P3 may be deal-breakers.

MSI Optix MPG321UR-QD Review

One of the most feature-packed monitors we've ever seen ; QD-IPS panel is highly responsive in all modes, including HDR ; Exceptional gaming performance in all scenarios ; Thoughtful design and port layout, including HDMI 2.1 ; Integrated KVM

Square-shaped stand may not be ergonomically friendly for all gamers ; Oversaturated color out of the box ; Slightly higher dE values than average

MSI's pricey but irresistible Optix MPG321UR-QD monitor offers something for everyone, with some of the best gaming and content creation results we've seen yet.

MSI Optix MAG321CURV Review

UHD (aka 4K) native resolution ; Large 31.5-inch screen ; Optional In-Windows OSD utility ; Mini-joystick menu controller ; Solid port selection

Modest 60Hz refresh rate ; No support for adaptive sync

With features geared to casual gaming, paired with the high resolution, large screen, and color coverage of a productivity monitor, MSI's Optix MAG321CURV is a decent, price-aggressive fit for both worlds: working by day, playing by night.

MSI Optix MPG321UR-QD MSI Optix MPG321UR-QD Review - Cool 4K gaming display with quantum dots

This gaming monitor from MSI combines Ultra HD resolution and contrast in exemplary fashion, and has great colours too!

Smooth motion, good IPS contrast and razor-sharp image. Nice HDR effect. Great colours right out of the box!

Edge LED does not provide as deep a black level as rear LED with dimmable zones. USB hub has USB 2.0 only.

A screen is just a screen, you might think. But when you see how the MSI Optix MPG321UR-QD balances resolution with speed and colour reproduction, you immediately start to feel the need for something proper. Racing games, in particular, have smooth...

MSI Optix MPG321UR-QD Review: Speed, Quality and Pro Aspirations

MSI's Optix MPG321UR-QD is a 32-inch Ultra HD gaming monitor with Esports cred and professional aspirations.

+ Bright and sharp picture ; + Highly saturated color ; + HDMI 2.1 & DisplayPort 1.4/DSC ; + USB-C input ; + Accurate out of the box ; + Top-notch overdrive & video processing ; + Excellent HDR for the money ; + Handy KVM features with lots of USB ports

- Calibration reduces light output, contrast ; - Native contrast just average ; - No gamma presets

The MSI Optix MPG321UR-QD delivers a ton of color and superb gaming performance for less than $1,000. With 144 Hz, Adaptive-Sync and some of the best HDR we’ve seen yet, it’s great for PCs and consoles alike.
