LG 29EA93

Should your next monitor be a 21:9 aspect one?

Excellent connectivity, Dual Link-Up facility is neat, 21:9 aspect is great for films and some games

No height adjustment is a problem, Limited vertical desktop space, So-so accuracy out of the box

LG 29EA93 review

When widescreen simply isn't wide enough, LG's 29EA93 stretches the definition still further by offering a 29in display with a 21:9 aspect ratio. It features 2560 pixels across, and 1080 pixels down within a high-quality in-plane switching (IPS) panel,...

The LG 29EA93 won’t be for everyone. The 2560 by 1080 pixel ultra-wide aspect ratio is great, but brings with it issues of compatibility with existing software and hardware. Some of the more advanced options can be tricky to set up. However, our sample...

LG 29EA93 Review

While we applaud LG for trying something innovative, this may be a case of too much, too soon. However, if you don't have the desktop space for two full monitors, the 29EA93 may serve well as a normal desktop display.

The LG 29EA93 measures fairly well post calibration, so LG did a reasonably good job on the electronics side. However, while a 21:9 aspect ratio offering 2560 x 1080 resolution sounds like an exciting concept, it’s really a solution in search of a...

LG 29EA93 Monitor Review - Rev. 1.25

Last year I reviewed the LG 29EA93 monitor before its scheduled US release date. As someone that thinks there is a good market for ultrawide displays, the 21:9 aspect ratio was very interesting to me, and something I wanted to take a look at...

LG 29EA93 Ultrawide Display - Missing its Target

When migrating away from 4:3 screens for home video, the 16:9 aspect ratio was chosen as a compromise between all the common formats at the time. For many film fans, this meant finally being able to watch movies in their original aspect ratio without...

When the 29EA93 was announced, I was drawn to it because of the 21:9 ratio and my preference for the wider film format. I was worried about how it would work with my everyday material compared to a 27” or even 24” monitor. Would the ratio be a...

Review Roundup: Get a bigger picture with an ultrawide 29-inch display

LG's 29EA93P is stylish and it's equipped with pretty good speakers (for a monitor, that is).

Built-in USB 3.0 hub ; Very good off-axis viewing

Limited ergonomic flexibility

All four of these displays performed well overall. For folks who want to use an extrawide screen to handle multimedia, the LG 29EA93P, with its decent built-in speakers, would be the best choice. The NEC EA294WMi delivers the most accurate colors and...

LG 29EA93 Review: Are Ultra Wide Monitors Next?

For movies, the LG Flatron 29EA93 is superb. Films released in an ultra-wide format (i.e. many recent movies) fill the entire 29-inches of glorious screen real estate. As previously mentioned, the display’s advantageous width, rich color, excellent...

LG 29EA93-P

Great workable screen area, the split screen options works really well

Only used for a short period but has already been back to LG for a repair as it would not awake from stand by. Really easy repair process though. Since it's been back it no longer recognises the Display port, defaults to HDMI, meaning I have to...

LG 29EA93-P

Multiple video inputs, split screen display 2 inputs at the same time, usb 3 passthrough with 3 usb slots on back of the screen.

Really needs a remote control as buttons can be quite fiddly, sometimes screen wont power on when using the power button only after disconnecting power cord and reconnecting then the power button switches screen on
