With a brushed aluminium frame, the HP Compaq LA2205wg certainly doesn't look like a run-of-the-mill monitor. It has a stylish, professional look and the matte black sides and rear complement the overall aesthetic. Pushing on the edge of the bezel...
It's not perfect, but if you're looking for a basic work monitor the HP Compaq LA2205 will be hard to pass up for its flexible stand alone — as long as you can find it cheaper than the slightly inflated RRP.

A flexible stand, glare-resistant screen and solid performance make the HP Compaq LA2205wg LCD monitor a decent buy
Attractive design; good build quality; swivelling, tilting and height-adjustable screen; straightforward and easy to use on-screen display; respectable performance
Distortion on the screen when bezel is pushed; deep-set panel reflects on edge of bezel; no HDMI; below average viewing angles
It's not perfect, but if you're looking for a basic work monitor the HP Compaq LA2205 will be hard to pass up for its flexible stand alone -- as long as you can find it cheaper than the slightly inflated RRP.

The HP LA2405wg is one of seven entries in HP's Advantage line of business displays designed for viewing comfort and manufactured using environment-friendly materials. Priced at $379 (direct), this 24-inch monitor is a bit more expensive than other...
Flexible, ergonomic stand. Stylish design. Good color and text performance
Pricey. Weak light grayscale performance. No HDMI port
The HP LA2405wg is a versatile 24-inch LCD monitor that delivers good overall performance and offers a handful of useful features. However, this relatively pricey model has trouble displaying some shades of light gray and lacks an HDMI port.

The environmentally-friendly HP LA2405wg 24-inch monitor boasts a fully adjustable stand and a pair of USB ports, but it struggles with shades of light gray.
Flexible, ergonomic stand. Stylish design. Good color and text performance.

Despite a few build and design issues, HP's latest 22-inch monitor punches above its weight and is perfect for users looking for a budget, widescreen solution that is both versatile and sturdy.
Solid performance, Good adjustability through sturdy stand
Build quality issues in the frame, Inset panel causes reflections, Backlight bleed around the edges, Video playback leaves a bit to be desired

As I have recently written a review on my HP keyboard, I thought it was high time I followed it up with a review of my accompanying screen. As I spend a good deal of my day sitting behind a computer screen I have been known to suffer from dry eyes and...

Excellent display and the price was very reasonable.
This monitor was advertised as refurbished but the monitor I received was more like scratch and dent. The monitor was packaged poorly, shame on you NewEgg. The monitor was shipped in a cardboard box with packing peanuts. It was damaged by the time I...

Consumer review (newegg.com)
The cosmetics were fine with only minimal scratches. Has a DVI port which is way better than VGA. The mounting base is versatile. You can raise or lower the screen and also rotate it 90 degrees. For $59 it was a bargain. I use it for my secondary...
