Great Monitor

There is a huge discussion on the Net about the polarizer. I don't that matters much as the only way to get a comparable sized screen with great colors, low lag, etc. is to pay double for the NEC.

Excellent color reproduction for photo editing. Easy to calibrate. Huge display for the money. Great for gaming too as there is no lag or ghosting that I have noticed. Finally retired my old professional series Viewsonic and this DoubleSight is...

I am being very picky here, but the stand and outer shell is made of cheaper plastic. Also the joystick controls for brightness, etc is hard to get used to (but you really only adjust it once and then leave it alone - so not a big deal)

Good picture

Has a good picture, good color, no lag

1 stuck red pixel, this is unnacceptable in this day and age of LCD monitors. There really should be zero tolerance of these defects and these stuck pixels personally drive me absolutely nuts to look at. The joystick controller is awkward and difficult...

Good buy

Even without the polarizer this is the best LCD screen I've ever seen. I researched monitor technology for a year. And let me tell you, this is the best thing you can get, while still being able to game competitively. NO GHOSTING. Using this for web...

Fantastic monitor. I recently completed building a top notch gaming PC that has reached the $3k barrier. I had to compliment that hardware with the best display available. Meet the Doublesight H-IPS 26" monitor. 0 input lag, no ghosting, fantastic...

Ordered 1, got 2 by accident. Neither had the A-TW polarizer ; Panel lottery

DoubleSight DS-263N Black 26" 5ms(GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor with 4 USB ports 500 cd/m2 800:1

Great in games, good color, good viewing angle.

Excellent Display. One stuck pixel but very hard to see if you do not look close. For this size monitor it is close to perfect. Same screen as more expensive monitors without some of the added features

No height adjustment

good stuff

As for the dead pixel policy. Why can't we buy "perfect quality" insurance. Any monitor 10% flat rate. If it has one dead pixel you get an RMRA. Do the math new egg you will find you can actually make some coin doing this and yes I would have spent an...

It is a 5 egg enough said. There are some oddities to it but after 3 hours ... I called it sexy

Out of box I was afraid very afraid. Took 3 hours for the burn in time and lots of tinkering. If it was not for the saturation control this think would of got 2 egg

WOW

I have read that doublesight support/warranty service is quite good though I have no personal experience. I order almost everything from newegg but their pixel policy on lcd's stinks so I got this from another online retailer. Newegg is still the best...

Jack of all trades; master of ALL ; Big, accurate colors, great viewing angles, very fast, no lottery as to what panel you are really getting ; 0 dead or stuck pixels or sub pixels for me ; This monitor is pretty amazing. I didn't feel so bad about my...

Stand has no up/down or rotation or pivot if you go for that ; Egg's lcd return/dead pixel policy (Hint, hint. Please change it, egg)

Couldn't ask for better

I have myself a 1 rating because even though I work in IT, I don't claim to be any sort of display expert. I don't do graphics work, color correction, photoshop, or anything of the sort. Feel free to read/research thru hardocp's forums for better info...

Beautiful monitor. Do some research on different panel types before buying, you will find that S-IPS panels like this one are top notch! Words just can't do this display justice. I've seen quite a few various monitors at work, and must say that I'm...

No height or swivel adjustment for those who might be interested in that -- didn't matter for me. I've seen cheapo TN panels almost half this on sale, so I guess you could say that price is a con, but I feel you get what you pay for -- this display...

Very, very nice

I've been researching monitors for months, and learned about S-IPS panels vs. Tn vs. MVA/PVA type LCD panels. I tried a couple of the inexpensive (but name brand) Tn panels, and returned them both after a week. I just couldn't stand the color and...

where to start? This thing is HUGE. Beautiful S-IPS screen, so the colors don't shift when you move your head, like on Tn panels. Bright colors, excellent response time, and low input lag make this monitor great for both photo editing and gaming. Also...

that darn joystick is a pain to use for the adjustments. half the time, it doesn't register your direction pushes. But at least you don't need to use it once you have everything set ; Stand doesn't go up/down, but its not really needed imo. And it does...

Excellent Buy

This is probably the best all around monitor in the 24"+ category. Excellent for gamers and very good for general computer usage.

Low input lag and low response time makes this an excellent monitor for gaming. The IPS panels also gives it very good viewing angles and very nice colors

Some white glow but it's not a huge issue. The manual says it has height adjustment but it does not, I think the manufacturer just copied and pasted the manual from another monitor. Not a big deal to me

DoubleSight DS-263N Black 26" 5ms(GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor with 4 USB ports 500 cd/m2 800:1

This is basically a rebadged Planar PX2611W and it reportedly uses the same S-IPS panel as the NEC LCD2690WUXi (but lacks the NEC's processing features). All in all, I would catergorize this as a "prosumer" level LCD monitor. It's a step above consumer...

Excellent viewing angles, low lag input times (about 1 frame of lag), S-IPS LCD panel for a MVA/PVA price, 1:1 scaling mode, 1080P capability. This is probably the first IPS monitor that can be used for gaming with no compromises

Stand only tilts, no height adjustment or rotation
