DoubleSight DS-243N Black 24" 5ms(GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor with 4 USB ports & Height/Pivot Adjustments - Retail

Would not buy again. This is not in the description, but the monitor has a glossy LCD panel which you may or may not want.

Nice Stand and bezel design

Poor viewing angles, High gloss LCD screen produces glare, Black levels are unacceptable, and all black screen flickers

DHCP Issue

This monitor was meant to double as a bedroom TV as well as a PC monitor and has totally failed in that regard. DS Support has been quick to answer calls and return them until now. Their last call back said that they've "turned it over to their...

I have the DS-245W model. The PQ is great running my PC at 1920 x 1200 on a Radeon X1950 Pro card via DVI. Viewing angles are excellent as well as brightness and contrast. Truly an excellent picture on PC

Like the other reviewer, mine does not work as a TV as advertised. I tried a Motorola cable box with DVI-D and would get 1 second of picture and 3 seconds of snow alternating infinitely. I tried a new cable and exchanged my cable box for a brand-new...

Will not display TV even with its HDCP support

I have the DS245W but the product link is missing so this is the closest product and wanted to warn potential buyers of this problem.

Would have been a PRO if the DS245W version with DVI/HDCP would display TV like it is advertised. NewEgg is willing to RMA this monitor a pro but insists on me paying restocking fee and shipping costs on this defective monitor a CON

Hook this monitor up to your Cable or SAT box via HDMI to DVI and see what happens. I have two DS245W one from NewEgg and one from DoubleSite. Both will not display TV

Why is'nt this model priced cheaper?

I wanted to review the DS-245W lcd monitor because I just received that one yesterday but my bookmarked page for the DS-245W took me to this DS-243N instead. The DS-245W is great. Mine arrived with no dead or stuck pixels that I could find using the...

Can't think of a pro when it seems to be replacing a better monitor (DS-245W) for about the same price.

For about roughly the same price as the DS-245W model you get basically a lower/worse model. This one uses a TN panel compared to the DS-245W that uses a Samsung S-PVA. This DS-243N model should cost about a hundred less to be competitive with similar...

I feel cheated

I know it's my fault for not reading very carefully before adding it to my cart, but I honestly thought I was buying a different product than what I ended up with. This is one more incident that's making me lose my confidence in Newegg. I just wish I...

Text and images are sharp at native resolution even in analog mode. Supports rather high refresh rates in digital mode. I don't think the specs state them, so that's definitely a bonus

As stated, the item listed in my search result and the item that ended up in my cart are not the same. I think that I may have been a little more pleased if the items matched. Even with the black level set to 0, I still see too much gray where black...

Uh....

I'd really like it if you brought back the newer version, it was amazing and this one doesn't cut it as a replacement.

This isn't the DS-245W

What?

What happened to the other one? I don't really see the benefit in trading contrast ratio and brightness level for 1ms in display latency. I also don't see why this monitor costs more than the other DS, that now cleverly links straight to this page....
