Apple Studio Display 17-inch

This Apple Studio Display is certainly not the cheapest 17-inch monitor you can buy, but it offers crisp text and images, excellent colour rendition, and easy-to-use hardware controls without breaking the bank. Owners of older Mac systems may run into...

Apple Studio review: Apple Studio

Apple Studio

Brilliant, sharp picture; quick setup.

Mac-compatible only; proprietary connection excludes older Macs.

The Studio Display is a superlative LCD with a great price. If your Mac supports the proprietary connection scheme, buy it.

Apple Studio review

Apple products are typically more expensive than comparable peripherals from other companies, but the $999 17-inch Studio Display meets the competition head-on. For those who have new Power Macs with an ADC slot, the Studio Display is clearly...

Apple Studio Display review: Mega screen that is not for everyone

The Studio Display is Apple's latest monitor which is intended for beginners and personal computing. Find out in our review whether it serves its purpose.

Top notch workmanship ; Bright screen with accurate color reproduction (a pleasure, honestly!) ; Image is clearly visible from all angles ; Great speakers, good microphone ; A real treat for any MacBook or iPad user because it's instantly compatible....

Unfortunately comes with 60 Hz refresh rate only ; Webcam should be able to do much more ; Fixed power cable ; Swivel arm for height adjustment is (too) expensive ; Nothing appealing for PC users

The Studio Display from Apple is really not cheap at all, especially if you want the really fantastic add-ons like nanotextured glass and the height-adjustable stand. And, no, Apple hasn't dug deep into the box of technical innovations with the Studio...

Great design, no adjustment feature

I have a whole roomful of Macs since I repaired them for nearly a decade. Having seen many different monitors made by Apple, the easel style LCD is one of the prettiest monitors they have ever designed. Having the industry standard one year warranty ...

Nothing on the market is as sleek looking

Graphic designers may not like the lack of adjustability

Smart bright monitor - But had dim warranty!

I finally decided to retire my old heavy 17" CRT, replacing it with a gently used Apple 17" ADC M7649 flat screen LCD! Working in a college setting I had heard the IT department talk about the extremely limited warranty Apple applies to these units....

Very high quality screen. Bright with excellent resolution, low pixelation

LCD not servicable if a problem occurs. Very limited warranty when these were new

WiFi Range Extender Which Actually Works

The D-Link DLW-G710 is a major improvement on previous D-Link range extenders. This one uses a built-in wizard to locate a WiFi network and guide the user into setting it up correctly. That said, there are some caveats with this product. When first ...

Good performance and relative ease of set-up

Virtually" all WiFi supported means there will be some incompatibilities
