Good picture quality, although not for colour-accurate work.

Small screen size for a 4K monitor

Kitguru says: The Acer XB280HK shows 4K and G-Sync is a good combination, but this display has a few limitations.

Acer XB280HK

The Acer XB280HK is a 28-inch UHD monitor that utilizes Nvidia's G-Sync technology to deliver smooth gaming performance.

Great gaming performance. Sharp UHD detail. Highly adjustable stand. Built-in USB hub.

Only one video input. Slightly skewed greens. Middling viewing-angle performance.

Conclusion If your current monitor can't keep pace with your Nvidia GPU, it might be time to invest in a monitor that can. There are several G-Sync-enabled monitors to choose from, but as of this writing, only the Acer XB280HK offers G-Sync in UHD....

Acer XB280HK 4K G-SYNC Monitor Review

When it comes to gaming, 4K displays present a conundrum (beyond 4K being used incorrectly, but I'll still use it). On the one hand, all the extra pixels allow for far more detail. On the other, that is a lot of pixels to push for a GPU. Even with the...

While the above are certainly alternatives to keep an eye on, for 4K gaming on NVIDIA GPUs it looks like the XB280HK will remain the primary option. The

Acer 28-inch 4K G-Sync XB280HK Monitor Review

After previewing the G-Sync technology all the way back in December of 2013, we've been chomping at the bit to get the chance to check out a real-deal consumer-ready G-Sync monitor. Today we get to bring that to you with the Acer XB280HK. This 28-inch...

If you want the best gaming experience a 28-inch monitor has to offer today, Acer and NVIDIA have your back with the XB280HK. This is not your budget option – it costs $799 – but for that cash, it has all the high-quality visual delivery you’ll have...

A Review of the Acer XB280HK bprz 28-inch Ultra HD 4K NVIDIA G-SYNC Widescreen Monitor

The Acer XB280HK was one of the original and awesome 4K UHD monitors to become available to and made for gamers who want to try their luck at 4K PC gaming. Of course, when the monitor was first released back in summer of 2014, the overall 4K PC gaming...

Great adjustability ; Very crisp 4K display ; G-Sync built-in ; Very decent brightness

Only one DisplayPort 1.2 port ; No HDMI at all ; Slightly off color accuracy ; 8-bit color range ; A bit too expensive

The XB280HK bprz still might be interesting to 4K gamers thanks to its G-Sync technology. However, there are now better monitors on the market with better color accuracy, better connectivity and more affordable pricing.

Acer XB280HK 28-in 4K G-Sync Monitor Review

Here they come - the G-Sync monitors are finally arriving at our doors! A little over a month ago we got to review the ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q, a 2560x1440 144 Hz monitor that was the first retail-ready display to bring NVIDIA's variable refresh...

Would be an okay monitor if it lasted for more than a few months

The warranty won't help you because: 1) It's over $100 to ship back to Acer. 2) When I did, I got another monitor that became defective in a few months. 3) Their support website does not currently work (5/19/2016) on firefox, IE, or chrome. You're...

-Theoretically a 4K GSync monitor

After a few months you get one or more of the following problems (or ones not listed): -Black flickering -Fading to solid white that doesn't disappear until you unplug and replug the power cable in the back. -Complete failure to function

Flakey port means it resets...

Sharp. No visible stuck pixels on mine (but at 4k, you'll rarely see them). Decent colors. Works.

It only has one port. No HDMI ports, nothing except that one, single, display-port. And that one display port is INCREDIBLY sensitive to the cable being touched. Once that cable is touched, the monitor loses sync. Which means the computer decides it's...

Second refurb glitched like the first

Image quality not that great (contrast is weak, etc). But worst of all, this is my second refurb (had the first one replaced due to the screen completely glitching out within the first week), and now it is having the same problem as the first one,...
