ZTE Blade V8 Pro review

An excellent budget smartphone has tough competition

The ZTE Blade V8 Pro is an excellent smartphone for the price. It’s bargain bin price gets you good battery life, decent dual-rear cameras and a near-stock Android experience. If you’re okay with having an older version of Android, the Blade V8 Pro is...

ZTE Blade V8 Pro review

If the ZTE Blade V8 Pro didn't have such a cheap price and a long-lasting battery, I guarantee you I would not remember this phone. Outside those two features, there wouldn't be much reason to buy it -- especially given its heavy design and slightly...

The ZTE Blade V8 Pro has a long battery life, a fun camera with neat tricks and is cheap compared to other mid-range phones like this.

The phone is heavy, the fingerprint sensor needs more polish and the camera app has a tendency to quit out unexpectedly.

The ZTE's Blade V8 Pro has long battery life and a budget price, but the Asus ZenFone 3 is simply better.

This handset lasts a long time and you won't have to break the bank to buy it.

ZTE Blade V8 Pro Review

In just a few more weeks, the conversation surrounding new smartphones is going to take a major turn, as it tends to do around that time every year. With the new flagships of MWC (and those that launch independently in the days that will follow), we're...

No-compromise battery life ; Dual cameras make taking high-quality images easy ; Fantastic value for the money

Larger than its competition ; Speaker output could use a boost ; Video recording pales in comparison to still imagery ; Fingerprint scanner needs rethinking

As is only befitting a mid-ranger, the ZTE Blade V8 Pro is a story of hits and misses. In the win category, performance is decent, battery life is stellar, and still photography really shines with the phone's dual cameras.

ZTE Blade V8 Pro Review: The Best Budget Phone Available

Right now, the ZTE Blade V8 Pro and the Honor 6X are easily the cream of the budget phone crop, so much so that choosing between the two is difficult. Both phones have bright, 5.5-inch, full-HD screens, along with dual rear cameras and built-in...

Dual rear cameras ; Attractive price ; Outstanding battery life ; Built-in fingerprint reader

No Android 7.0 ; Plastic back

The ZTE Blade V8 Pro's 12-hour battery life, dual rear cameras and fingerprint reader redefine what you should expect from a budget phone.

Review: ZTE Blade V8 Pro

The V8 Pro is the first Blade series device from ZTE to be sold directly to U.S. consumers. This unlocked Android smartphone features an appealing design, good materials, and a solid spec sheet, but this V8 doesn't run quite as smoothly as we'd like it...

ZTE managed to push out a solid smartphone in the Blade V8 Pro and yet it is sadly held back by a few weak points here and there.

Phenominal value that gives you a good camera and days of real-life battery use

I have been an HTC guy since my Windows slide-out keyboard and the G1. My latest HTC was the M9 Developer Edition and I was terribly disappointed. I rooted and tried several ROMs over the years, and was never really satisfied with that phone. After my...
