Xiaomi Mi Max 2 review

Magnificently massive. Xiaomi has updated its gigantic Mi Max. Find out what's new in our Mi Max 2 review.

It might not be as fast as the original Mi Max, but performance isn’t the main reason you’ll be buying the MI Max 2. Crossing the boundary between phone and tablet, the gigantic 6.44in screen will leave those of you who like your phones big all hot...

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Smartphone Review

China import for phablet fans. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a screen size of over 6.4-inches - which you may or may not like. But if you do go for the XXL smartphone, you will find that it has quite a lot to offer for $370.

bright IPS display ; fast Wi-Fi ; good workmanship ; good camera ; stereo speakers ; very long battery runtimes ; performance

import (no LTE Band 20) ; APL 50 value ; PWM ; same SoC as predecessor

Xiaomi has put an interesting smartphone on the market. If you accept the enormous size of the 6.44-inch Mi Max 2, you will get a decent package for about $360. Considering its price, the mid-range device has hardly any noteworthy weaknesses.Hats off...

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Review

For the second year in a row, Chinese phone maker Xiaomi has produced a device that takes the word “phablet” to another level. Like its predecessor, the recently-released Mi Max 2 employs a massive 6.44-inch screen, but also packs improvements in...

Quality build ; Decent cameras ; Outstanding battery life ; Big, pleasant display ; Reliable fingerprint scanner

Big size can make it unsuitable for many users ; Waterproofing would have been nice ; Limited network coverage and support for western markets ; Video recording can be better ; Big screen is suitable for multiwindow mode, but feature is not present

The Mi Max 2 is a unique device that sits on the intersection of a large smartphone and a portable tablet, and excels at that offering an incredible battery life.

Impressive design and build-quality ; Incredible battery life ; Decent performance

Too large for any pocket ; Average camera performance

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Review

Last year, Xiaomi picked up a niche of large size smartphones a.k.a phablets which eventually gained a success selling over 3 million devices in a span of a

Solid Build, Curved Edges ; Large Screen Offers Great Multimedia Experience ; Excellent Battery Life ; Impressive Call Quality ; Stereo Speakers ; Decent Rear Camera ; IR Blaster & USB Type-C ; Fast Charging Support (Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0)

Large smartphones aren’t meant for everyone. The problems with the phablets are, they aren’t easier to carry in the hands, they can’t be able to fit inside your small pockets, feels bulkier, and so on. That said, in a nutshell, if you love big screen...

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 review: Big display, but is this for everyone?

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 review: There's no doubt this is a niche phone, which performs well and delivers on the core area of display, battery, and performance. Battery is one of its best features, and this could be the device that never dies. But should you buy?

If you go by the size of Mi Max 2, there’s no big name that jumps to mind in the recent launches. Some phones have similar specifications, but a higher price band. On the battery front, we’ve seen a few options with 5000 mAh like Moto E4 Plus for...

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Review

The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 fails to improve on existing weaknesses from the Mi Max, and is not an upgrade. That said, it is a good buy for those who do not already have a Mi Max.

Class leading battery life ; Looks good ; Improved colours and contrast on display

Sub-par viewing angles ; Feels slower ; Poor ergonomics

The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is the right budget phablet for those who don't have the Mi Max already. Premium buyers can get a far better phone with the Galaxy C9 Pro.
