Xiaomi Mi4

It's better than a mere iPhone imitation, but is it worth importing?

Smart design ; Outstanding value ; Very fast

No 4G on this version ; No microSD slot ; Import challenges

While NFC is still clearly in its infancy, it could well take off in 2015 — especially now that Apple has put it into the iPhone 6. Not having NFC could be a real drawback for Mi4 owners moving forwards.

Xiaomi Mi 4 review

The flagship Xiaomi Mi 4's design borrows liberally from Apple's iPhone, but it also possesses plenty of features that let it stand on its own, chief of which are its powerful hardware.

The Xiaomi Mi 4 delivers snappy performance, a great camera, and good looks at a low price.

Availability is limited to select markets. The lack of microSD card slot could be a dealbreaker for some.

Xiaomi's Mi 4 offers almost everything you want in a high-end flagship smartphone -- beautiful design and snappy performance at a price that's just too good to pass up.

Xiaomi Mi 4

At the tail-end of last year, Chinese company Xiaomi entered the country. We review their top offering - the Mi 4.

Great feel in hand, Decent processing when needed, Good Camera, MIUI skin + extras add to full fledge package

No LTE + microSD card slot + NFC

At R3 800 the Xiaomi Mi 4 truly is a great deal. Not only does it operate like a charm due to the MIUI skin, but you also receive an awesome camera, strong performance and a full HD screen. What you’re missing is both NFC and LTE (4G) connectivity, and...

Xiaomi Mi4 review: iPhone-Grade Specs For Half The Price

Xiaomi might not be a name that is instantly familiar to most western mobile users, but in its native China, the company sells more smartphones than Apple and Samsung. Despite being quite a young firm –– it was only established in 2010 –– Xiaomi is now...

Amazing build quality, Fast software, Excellent hardware

No Micro SD card slot, Design is a clear copy of the iPhone

Incredible power and a gorgeous design make this one of the best phones of 2014, as long as you can put up with snatches of Chinese text

Xiaomi Mi 4 review: Dragons forever

Xiaomi is in no mood to slow down and the Mi 4 is ready to succeed one of the most popular Chinese smartphones, the Mi 3. Riding the new wave of made-in-China flagships, with the likes of Oppo, Meizu and Huawei, this one is a highly anticipated sequel...

5" IPS 1080p capacitive touchscreen of 441ppi ; Android 4.4.3 KitKat with MIUI v.5, upgradable to MIUI v.6 ; 2.5GHz quad-core Krait 400 CPU; 3GB of RAM; Adreno 330 GPU; Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset ; 13MP camera, f/1.8 aperture, LED flash, 4K video...

No Gorilla Glass ; No microSD card slot ; No user-replaceable battery ; No NFC ; Sold exclusively online

Well made, good-looking proper flagships with all the trimmings coming from China should be no surprise by now. Least of all, the Xiaomi Mi 4. Probably the biggest surprise here is it took Xiaomi less than a year to bring out the next generation.

Xiaomi Mi 4 (16GB) review: The 64GB variant seems a better bet, but OnePlus One could crash Xiaomi's party

We take a look at Xiaomi Mi 4 which will start selling in India on Feb 10th

So should you but this phone or not -- that is a tricky question. The Xiaomi Mi 4 is certainly priced well for its features and performance but a lot of people will find issues with its 12GB usable memory. Specially when you consider the fact that with...

Xiaomi Mi 4 review: A good smartphone, but will face competition from OnePlus One

Xiaomi came to the Indian market in July last year and has since, gone from strength to strength. It started out with the Xiaomi Mi 3, a phone sporting high-end specifications, at a price which was almost half of that seen on branded devices with...
