So-so performance ; Dead pixels on review model ; Network-locked

The Vodafone Smart V8 is a solid, network-locked smartphone. For the money, you won’t be disappointed.

Vodafone Smart V8 review: A new budget smartphone champion?

In the Smart V8, Vodafone has managed launch a phone which costs just £160, and yet looks and feels like a much more expensive device.

Very impressive design for the price ; Full HD screen ; Decent enough camera ; All-day battery life and quick charging times

Slightly sluggish at times ; Downloading apps/games really slow ; Several pre-installed Vodafone apps can get in the way

In the Smart V8, Vodafone has managed launch a phone which costs just £160, yet one which looks and feels like a much more expensive device. We'd not bat an eyelid if the price was closer to £250.
