The Googlephone is superb, and it's the second-best phone of 2008
Excellent GPS and mapping Android is amazing Slide out keyboard HSDPA support a boon
Not as snazzy as the iPhone Screen could do with some improvement Not too many apps available (yet)
The iPhone is still the champ. Yet, as they say in the Visa ads, for everything else, there's the G1. It is a top mobile performer.

Smartphones have come along way from the early days of Palm, so can Google and T-Mobile crack it with the G1? Pocket-lint was given a phone ahead of the launch to find out. So should you ditch your current mobile and sign up? If you class yourself as a...

Handset isn't the sexiest you'll have seen, no headphones socket, issues with Google Apps email, no onscreen keyboard
So should you ditch your current mobile and sign up? If you class yourself as a consumer, most definitely not. The handset will have you laughed at down the pub and the lack of an onscreen keyboard, poor design and overall clunkiness will mean that...

The first Android phone is here, but will it challenge the iPhone or BlackBerrys of this world? Pocket-lint was given the new handset while the launch of the new handset was taking place in the US. Big, geeky, and plenty of potential are the thoughts...

The G1 is the first phone to run Google's Android operating system, making it a hotly-awaited smartphone by geeks around the world. It offers a...
The G1 is a powerful handset that certainly shows off the potential of Google’s Android software, but it feels very much like a first-generation phone. The keyboard and touchscreen combination is flexible, though, and the way it works with Google’s...

Based on the G95 core, nVidia's budget 9400 GT graphics card comes with a significantly compromised set of specifications, so as to hit an attractive sub-£40 price tag.
While showing plenty of promise, the overall user experience of the T-Mobile G1 is a little wanting in some key areas, especially when compared to the current reference. Many of the foibles may be credited to the hardware rather than user interface....

Much fuss was made about the T-Mobile G1 on its release, not least because it was the first mobile phone to be unveiled using the fabled Google OS Android. And, like a good meatball sandwich that's overflowing with sauce, it doesn't disappoint.
The Android interface is excellent and has endless App possibilities
The peanut-sized battery is disappointing
The Androids are coming! The G1 is the first mobile to sport Google's OS, and it does a pretty good job. Subsequent

Google software is something that has been eagerly anticipated by many. For the first time in the history of mobile telephony, the operating system has become more important than the actual handset itself. T-Mobile's G1 is the first mobile phone that...

I don't like the phone design itself, as I have said, I really like the uniqueness of the OS, given time, with even more development of the programs and the addition of this system on a better looking and more useable phone this will be a great move...
