Sony Xperia Ear Review: We've spent the past week with Sony's Xperia Ear assistant,a handy earpiece that pairs with your smartphone.
Comfortable, light design ; Charging case ; Solid concept
Limited AI ; For early adopters only
We can see Sony developing the Xperia Ear into a truly wonderful device that’s used to interact with your mobile phone on a daily basis, but the Assistant is the main selling point and right now it’s not quite there. It’s a shame as the Ear’s design is...

Sony have introduced the Xperia E as a new entry-level handset with HD Voice plus data and power-saving tools for new smartphone users.
We’re still not sure of an exact arrival time for the Sony Xperia E, but it’ll be arriving within Q1 2013, which pins its touchdown anywhere between January and March.

Well, this sounds like an apt title really. The Sony Xperia E is among the cheapest packages on offer from Sony, second to only the Tipo. From the design theme of the first generation of Sony smartphones, to the familiar internals, the Sony Xperia E...
Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and -band UMTS support ; 7.2 Mbps HSDPA and 5.76 Mbps HSUPA ; 3.5" 256K-color capacitive TFT touchscreen of HVGA resolution (320 x 480) ; Android OS v4.1.1 Jelly Bean ; 1 GHz Cortex-A5 CPU, Adreno 200 GPU, Qualcomm MSM7227A...
Feeble chipset and uninspiring performance ; Mediocre screen quality ; Fixed-focus camera, No LED flash ; Video recording No front-facing camera
Like its dual-SIM counterpart, the Sony Xperia E offers quite the feature set for such a conservative price point. It's currently available for under €130 in most markets - about €10 less than the E dual, and is the one of the very few smartphones from...

In 2012, Sony decided to alter its smartphone strategy and launched numerous affordable entry level smartphones, aiming to bring solid Android at prices close to those of some featurephones.
Dual-SIM (dual stand-by) ; Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and dual-band UMTS support ; 7.2 Mbps HSDPA and 5.76 Mbps HSUPA ; 3.5" 256K-color capacitive TFT touchscreen of HVGA resolution (320 x 480) ; Android OS v4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich ; 1 GHz Cortex-A5 CPU,...
Feeble chipset ; Poor screen quality ; Fixed-focus camera with poor image quality, No LED flash ; No front-facing camera ; Mediocre audio output
The Sony Xperia E dual offers quite the feature package for such a conservative price point. It's a very well built dual-SIM smartphone from a tier-one manufacturer that is powered by the really functional Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

Small time mobile phone manufacturers are bringing super cheap Chinese handsets into the market by the week and bigger brands are looking to beat them at their own game.

The Sony Xperia E dual is the thrifty Scotsman's dream phone come true – cheap, versatile, and able to work with two SIM cards simultaneously. That latter feature allows one to take advantage of two carriers' deals from a single device, or have two...
Dual SIM phone ; Great call quality
