Samsung Galaxy S20 Review | Trusted Reviews

With powerful Android phones getting bigger all the time, the comparably diminutive Samsung Galaxy S20 is a refreshing change of pace.

Lovely screen;A perfect size;Huge camera improvements over the S10

The fingerprint scanner is poor;120Hz refresh rate drains battery; It looks just like every other Samsung phone

Samsung Galaxy S20 review

The Samsung Galaxy S20 offers 5G speeds, better cameras and a slightly larger screen, but it gets pretty expensive in some regions.

A truly fantastic display Strong camera performance Lots of power and 5G-ready

Price is higher, especially for 5G Erratic fingerprint scanner Doesn’t support all 5G networks

The Samsung Galaxy S20 isn’t the most cutting-edge of Samsung’s S20 lineup – that honor goes to the Galaxy S20 Ultra – but it’s still a powerful phone with an ergonomic and attractive design, and the introduction of new features like 5G, the 120Hz...

Hands on: Samsung Galaxy S20 review

The Galaxy S20 delivers big spec for a price hike

Promising camera upgrade Samsung’s best display yet Fast 5G download speeds

There’s no cheaper ‘S20e’ Hardly best in the S20 series Moderate price increase

The Samsung Galaxy S20 is going to be the first 5G phone for a lot of people, and it comes with a 64MP camera and 3x optical and 30x digital zoom to boot. It’s a leap ahead of the S10, but it also carries a price hike and is outclassed by two bigger...

Samsung Galaxy S20 review: A regular-size winner

There are three models in the new Samsung Galaxy S20 family - with this being the smallest. But does it stand up to its siblings?

Fantastic display that dominates the front ; Great battery for a smaller phone ; Faster charging ; Lovely design ; Camera system is versatile

OneUI software has its frustrations ; Agressive blur and shallow depth of field from camera ; Fingerprint sensor not always reliable

In previous years, a recommendation for the regular sized Galaxy S normally came with a caveat about battery life. With the S20, that's not necessary: this is a great flagship phone, full stop.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Review

Galaxy S20 may not reinvent the wheel for Samsung and some may be disappointed with the fairly run-of-the-mill design, but a smorgasbord of quality of life changes might just make this the best Android phone you can buy right now.

– A handy size for all, screen still stellar and camera comes good

– Doesn’t look cutting edge, fingerprint folly and a lack of endurance

With the Galaxy S20, Samsung has played it safe – opting for refinements over innovation. However, these refinements were craved by many and culminate in a cracking experience – from the stunning display and manageable size to top-notch photography....

Samsung Galaxy S20 Review: The smallest Galaxy S20 isn’t small enough

The Galaxy S20 is the smallest in the new S20 family, but it's not small enough to be a compact flagship phone, and therefore our gaze turns to the S20 Plus.

Beautiful screen, 120Hz refresh rate ; Camera takes good photos ; Slim, light, and easy to hold ; 5G for the future

Size doesn't do the screen justice ; Not small enough to be different

Samsung Galaxy S20 review: just right

The best Android phone on the market right now.

High refresh rate screen ; Good battery life ; Excellent fit and finish

5G not worth the added cost ; Cameras oversmooth faces ; Software updates only guaranteed for two years

Samsung’s excellent Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20 Plus Android smartphones are priced at $999.99 and $1,199.99, respectively, and are available now. They’re the best Android phones you can buy right now, setting a new standard for 2020. They have good...

Samsung Galaxy S20 and S20 Plus Review

The Galaxy S20 and S20 Plus offer almost all of the features of the pricey Galaxy S20 Ultra at a more bearable price: you get a 120Hz screen, larger batteries, 5G support and zoom cameras...

120Hz is a buttery smooth, game-changing experience; Beautifully crafted devices; Screens have rich, vibrant colors, look amazing; Better zoom capabilities than most phones; Very good battery life (but only at 60Hz)

120Hz option takes a heavy toll on battery life; In-screen fingerprint scanner experience is among the worst on a flagship; Selfies often turn out botched due to a bug; A bit on the pricey side
