Samsung Galaxy S10 5G: First impressions of Samsung's 5G connected device and how it compares to other phones in the S10 series.
In many ways, this is the ultimate version of Samsung's 2019 flagship device. It's got the largest screen, most cameras and biggest battery. If you're planning on fully embracing 5G this year it'll likely be one of the best picks.

Say what you want about the Galaxy S10 5G, but you cannot accuse Samsung of phoning it in
Lavish AMOLED display ; Stunning bokeh effect in Live Focus pictures and videos ; Water resistant design ; Future-proofed with 5G Support ; 3.5mm headphone port means a dongle-free life
It’s massively unwieldy ; Camera cut-out in the display is ugly

The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G has arrived in tandem with the new standard for superfast internet, 5G. It's one of the first of its kind, alongside the Huawei Mate 20 X 5G , Oppo Reno 5G , OnePlus 7 Pro 5G and the LG V50 ThinQ 5G , promising faster download...
Great screen for video and games Excellent stills and video camera It’s ready for the first 5G networks
Expensive Gets hot (Exynos version) Battery could be better (Exynos version)
The Galaxy S10 5G is a smartphone for early adopters who don’t mind paying for the privilege. Its huge display is great for videos and gaming, it’s a sleek phone despite its size, and Samsung’s UI is smooth. Just how good it is will come down to where...

Think of it as the S10++, the 5G variant of the Galaxy is the largest and most powerful. But in the wake of the Note 10 does it make sense?
Great display ; Battery life ; Camera performance ; 3.5mm headphone socket ; One UI ; Lighter and smaller than rivals
No microSD ; Competition from the Note 10+ 5G ; Display cut-out ; Additional sensors of limited real value
It's hard not to view this 6.7-inch phone as an 'S10++ with 5G'. But it's an accomplished device. Sure, the cameras aren't pretty, and the Note 10+ throws a spanner in the works, but if it's 5G you want right now then the S10 5G is the option to go...

As good as 5G gets
Stunning screen ; Premium design ; Futureproofed with 5G
It gets hot with intense use ; Will be too big for some ; The battery could be better
Cutting-edge everything never looked this good; while 5G isn’t where it needs to be for mass adoption just yet, at least this piece of 5G hardware will have you future-proofed with sensational snaps and a stunning screen for streaming video.

The Galaxy S10 5G is one of the best phones around but at the moment 5G just isn't worth the asking price

10th anniversary Galaxy is as close as Android gets to the complete package
Truly versatile three-lens camera ; Gorgeous display and top-notch performance ; Feature-packed in ways few rivals can match
In-display finger scanner not perfect ; Not the best battery life ; Price hike makes the S10e a tempting alternative
The S10 is better than ever. The mainstream Galaxy might now play middle child to more powerful and more affordable variants, but there’s nothing else running Android that’s quite as well-rounded.

It's everything a 2019 flagship should be and so much more
Solid construction; Decadent display; 5G-enabled; Power to burn
Very large; Bixby button is still annoying; Lack of 90Hz+ display
The S10 5G is the spotlit star of Samsung's flagship-heavy portfolio of smartphones. It makes absolutely no compromises and its 5G-enablement means it's a far better long-term investment than most second-hand cars.
