Update 10/08/2015: The Galaxy Note 4 has been with us for nearly a year, so it's no surprise that Samsung is readying up a successor to its flagship phablet.
Exceptionally sharp, vibrant screen ; Brilliant battery life ; Solid all-round camera ; Packs plenty of power
S-Pen app discovery needs work ; Plastic back still feels tacky ; Some software features are not easy to find ; Very expensive

Samsung's 2014 phablet still packs a punch
Fantastic display ; Smooth, powerful performance ; Strong camera
Too big for some ; Expensive ; S Pen still questionable
Samsung has packed in more power, an even better display and a great camera making the Note 4 for an excellent smartphone. It'll be too big for some and the S Pen is still questionable, but overlook this and you'll be happy.

Is Samsung's latest phablet the best yet?
Beautiful screen ; Strong snapper ; Loads of power
S Pen is questionable ; It's really expensive ; TouchWiz not for everyone

Big on specs and on performance, the Note 4 is the best big-screen phone yet
Improved design Great screen Powerful performance High-res music support
Fingerprint scanner is hit and miss ‘Touchwiz’ is still a little heavy-handed
When it comes to big-screened phones, Samsung really knows what works. It’s been doing it for years, before many of its competitors, and that really shows in the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Innovative software tweaks that make the most of the screen, and a...

Big phones, phablets, or whatever term you want to call them - the big-screen category is here to stay. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 represents not only the most crucial big-screen device from the Korean company for a couple of years but, sub-genres...
Built-in S Pen stylus and related features, great screen quality, decent battery life, super powerful, improved multi-screen and software functionality, quality camera, fast 4G connectivity (CAT 6 LTE-A)
Still a plastic rear panel, some app/software excess, fingerprint detection unwieldy at this size, some multi-screen functions are long-winded and fussy to operate
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is a rare example of a phone that not only does shed loads, but does it all so well. Despite the suggestion of Apple, Huawei and Sony competitors closing in on the big-screen phone space, the Note 4 exists in its own world...

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was one of the biggest smartphone (or phablet) launches of 2014. With significantly faster hardware and a fantastic Quad HD screen, and now available from just £449, you don't need us to help you decide whether you should buy...

Samsung's ultra HD powerhouse takes on the iPhone 6 Plus and LG G3 with some of industry's most competitive specs, and a certain little tool you can't find anywhere else.
The 5.7-inch Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has a brilliant high-resolution screen and takes excellent outdoor shots on its 16-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization. Using the stylus is more convenient, and the battery charges very quickly.
Low light and indoor shots aren't as good as they should be.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is a 2014 phone that's past its prime. Opt for the Note 5 or Galaxy S7 instead.

That price will drop over time but even when it launched the LG G3 was £100 cheaper. Since it's been around for a good chunk of the year, it's now available at under £300 making it almost half the price of the Galaxy Note 4.
The LG G3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 are two of the best phablets you can buy. Each has top-notch specs including a Quad HD screen, microSD, great cameras and various bells and whistles. While the Note 4 is an excellent phone, it's not far enough ahead...

The larger than life smartphone can be yours if you're happy to splash out a cool £600 making it one of the most expensive handsets around, although it's a little cheaper than the similarly sized iPhone 6 Plus.
