Oppo Reno Z Review | Trusted Reviews

The Oppo Reno Z is a new Pixel 3a rival. It doesn't have the industry leading camera of its arch-rival, but it is one of 2019's best mid-rangers nonetheless

Pretty design ; Great screen for the money ; Solid battery life

ColorOS adds bloatware and will delay software updates

The Oppo Reno Z doesn’t have a unique selling point like the Pixel 3a’s camera. But it earns a spot as one of 2019’s leading mid-range Android phones by getting all the basics right, offering solid battery life and a great screen for bingeing on Netflix.

Oppo Reno Z review

Oppo is a relative newcomer to the Western smartphone market, but it’s crossed the starting line at speed, to become one of the major Chinese players in a crowded field. With the Oppo Reno (and its big brother, the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom ) and the...

Low price tag Premium-feeling design High-quality display

Limited camera functions Chipset is okay, not great Loses the Oppo Reno’s distinctive pop-up camera

It’s hard to find much to dislike about the Oppo Reno Z – while some features could be better, like the chipset and camera, they’re far from bad. Throw in the impressive design and display and you’ve got a fantastic phone, particularly given its budget...

Oppo Reno Z review: Stunning value

Given its flagship looks, you wouldn't think this phone was sub-£300. It performs superbly with very few weaknesses. Is the Z the best mid-ranger?

Looks like a premium smartphone ; Great display ; Long battery life ; Very affordable given the specs and performance

Software isn't perfect ; Single (usable) camera lacks versatility of 10x Zoom model and quality can lack

While there are elements that don't quite match up to the premium flagships of the world, phones as good as the Reno Z really shouldn't cost so little. It's an impressive all-round device with very few weaknesses. If your budget is just £300 for a...

Oppo Reno Z Australian review (2019)

If $499 is all you have to spend, you're probably not gonna complain too much about what the Reno Z has to offer.

Sleek design ; Swift software

Underwhelming camera ; No flagship perks
