Oppo Find 7a review

This budget superphone proves that do-it-all phablets don't have to make your wallet weep

Stylish, practical design ; Cheaper than your average phablet ; Great screen ; Customisable OS and gestures

Only so-so battery life ; No built-in stylus

It may not be quite the game-changer we hope the Find 7 will be, but the Find 7a is a superb phone in its own right

The rapid charging of the battery is one killer feature from yet another mainland China phone maker to hit the Singapore market.

Oppo Find 7a – Review

Overall the Oppo Find 7a has the potential to be an amazing device, it's just Oppo pitched the ball a little too short with it's release. At times it felt like I was beta testing something for them or that I'd bought a pre production model or something.

Hardware Conclusion Overall the Oppo Find 7a has the potential to be an amazing device, it’s just Oppo pitched the ball a little too short with it’s release. At times it felt like I was beta testing something for them or that I’d bought a pre...

Oppo Find 7a – Initial Impressions

Oppo are slowly getting a name for themselves in the Western world, here at Coolsmartphone we've bought and reviewed several of their recent flagships. This time round with the Find 7a it was down to me to dig into my pockets and order one. As I've...

My initial conclusion after only a few hours is that the OPPO Find 7a is a great device that has a few little niggles here and there that really could be sorted out with a few well thought out firmware updates, the option to sort this or not is really...

Oppo Find 7a Hands-on, First Impressions: A Flagship That Can Go Up Against Other Int’l Brands

We go hands-on with Oppo's Find 7a! Yesterday Oppo officially launched in their flagship smartphone, the Find 7 in the Philippines. We reported about the Find 7 before because it's one of the few phones that can take a 50-megapixel photos, while only...

Oppo Find 7a review: A-lister

Oppo has been consistently living up to its name as an innovator in the mobile space and actually over-delivering in terms of user experience and features. To be fair, it's only going to get harder for them - this was easily a brand to approach with...

Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support; penta-band 3G with HSPA, quad-band LTE ; 5.5" 16M-color 1080p IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 401ppi ; Android OS v4.3 Jelly Bean with Color OS ; Quad-core 2.3GHz Krait 400 CPU, 2GB RAM, Adreno 330 GPU; Qualcomm...

No KitKat at launch ; No FM radio ; Quite dim capacitive key backlight ; HDR videos are not as nice as the regular ones

Oppo Find 7a is among the cheapest flagship smartphones you can get today. And while it costs less, the Find 7a does not skimp on quality and offers a great build, performance and user experience. You get top notch tech with a reasonable price tag -...

From China with love: can Oppo and OnePlus upend the way we buy smartphones?

Chances are, the smartphone in your hand or pocket was designed by a company based in America, Korea, or maybe Taiwan. Most consumers have probably never even looked at or considered a smartphone from a Chinese company.

Sharp display ; Solid build quality ; Good battery life

Ugly software ; Not as good a value as OnePlus One ; Only sold direct

The Find 7a and One offer a lot of smartphone for not a lot of money

Oppo Find 7a Review

It's been over a year since we first came across the Oppo Find 5 – the company's flagship that really put the otherwise obscure company at the time on the map – but here we are, with the Find series successor in the Find 7a. In fact, Oppo has two...

Attractive and ergonomic design ; Simplistic manufacturer skin with double-tap-to-wake functionality ; A performance powerhouse ; Great camera overall ; Rapid charging is awesome ; Relatively affordable, at $499 unlocked

Direct sunlight makes the display hard to operate ; Blueish screen ; Battery loses too much juice in standby mode

The Find 7a truly has it all – an attractive and ergonomic body, massive performance muscle, and a worthy flagship camera. And best of all? It comes carrying the relatively affordable price tag of $499 unlocked.

The Oppo Find 7a is the cheaper of the two Oppo devices launched in India. The device looks similar to its elder brother with few differences. We will check them out and a lot more in our exclusive Oppo Find 7a review.

A good balance of nice, simple design and good hardware at an affordable price point makes the Oppo Find 7a an ideal flagship smartphone. It matches the configuration of many flagship handsets of other global brands at only 60-70% of their suggested...
