OnePlus 6T review: With a steeper price, the abandonment of the headphone jack and the rear fingerprint sensor, is the OnePlus 6T really a step forward?
New fingerprint sensor feels cutting-edge ; Up-to-date, versatile OS ; Fast Charge is still great ; Sleek, premium design ; Great performance ; Great battery life
Camera's Nightscape mode needs work ; Another headphone jack bites the dust ; Fingerprint sensor needs refinement ; Poor audio capabilities
The OnePlus 6T brings new technology and worthwhile improvements to the table making this the best phone from OnePlus yet.

Update: The OnePlus 7 has launched alongside the OnePlus 7 Pro , so you might want to consider them alongside OnePlus 6T - though the latter is still the most affordable of the three. While OnePlus has been releasing two phones per year since the 3T in...
Top-end design Truly all-day battery life Powerful rear camera
No 3.5mm headphone jack No wireless charging Not a QHD display
The OnePlus 6T is the most accomplished phone we’ve ever seen from the company, and a bunch of new features, including an in-screen fingerprint scanner and a larger battery, add up to make this one of the best phones you can buy right now.

The OnePlus 6T tweaks an already great phone, making a few changes and adding a few features. But how does it perform?
Speedy performance ; Fast charging battery ; Feels great in hand ; Battery comfortably lasts a day ; Runs Android Pie out of the box ; McLaren Edition good value
Low light camera results not always great ; Design could be more exciting ; Getting more pricey ; Front camera isn't very good ; Speaker is a little weak
If you have a OnePlus 6 there isn't a huge change, but from every other previous model, this is going to feel like a massive leap forward. Because - despite its more premium price point - OnePlus is still knocking it out of the park. The question...

Featuring a novel in-screen fingerprint reader, the OnePlus 6T is neck-and-neck with other marquee phones that are way more expensive.
The OnePlus 6T offers top-notch hardware including a lightning-speed processor and an excellent camera for hundreds of dollars less than its competitors. For US customers, it works on Verizon's network.
The phone doesn't have a headphone jack or a water-resistant design. Its in-screen fingerprint reader should work a tad faster.
The OnePlus 6T is the most affordable, top-notch Android you can get. But if you already have the 6, don't feel the need to update.

An already great phone gets a few welcome upgrades
The fastest in-screen fingerprint scanner yet ; Has all the main bits a top-end phone needs ; Great price point
No headphone jack ; Mostly similar to the OnePlus 6
It may be a tweak of the last model, but this is the best way to avoid spending £800 or more on a phone

OnePlus reckons the 6T is its speediest mobile yet. It features a cutting-edge in-screen fingerprint sensor and massive 8GB of Ram on its highest spec option. There's also a McLaren Edition of the OnePlus 6T with an even more stunning design than the...

Still worth a look? OnePlus began its life as an upstart; a company which aimed to change the status quo and ruffle a few feathers. A few years on, and the company has become firmly established as one of the smartphone sector's leading lights, with its...
