OnePlus 5T review: Despite the OnePlus 5 being out for barely 5 months, it now has a successor: the OnePlus 5T. We take a look at the new device.
Good OLED screen ; Slick software experience ; Still excellent value ; Seriously fast
No water-resistance ; Average camera
When the OnePlus 5T first leaked it was rumoured the new 18:9 display would be complemented by a much bigger battery. Those rumblings didn’t come to pass though, and the 5T ships with the same 3300mAh cell as its predecessor.

Unlocking speed in a new way!
Great battery life ; Fluid performance ; Top-end design ; Impressive rear camera
No headphone jack ; 'Only' full HD resolution ; No microSD card slot
The OnePlus 6T is undeniably the most advanced and accomplished phone from the company till now. The OnePlus 6 is still good, but the 6T gives it a boost in the battery department and a fancy way to unlock at a perfect price.

The OnePlus 5T impresses with a larger screen and better camera, at the same price.
Great screen ; Affordable price ; Premium design ; User friendly features
Camera slightly behind rivals ; Screen still 'only' HD

Although it isn't as cheap as OnePlus phones from years gone by, this - on first impressions - still seems like an incredible phone, that just also
Big and vivid 18:9 ratio display ; Dash Charge is great as always ; Solid ergonomic build ; Speedy and smooth performance
Still no QuadHD resolution ; No Android Oreo yet ; No IP-rated water or dust resistance ; Camera not quite a flagship
Being hyper-critical, there are still a couple of areas that need improving if the OnePlus 5T is going to be a genuine killer of flagship phones. It would be nice if the camera offered that "instantly brilliant" automatic performance of the Samsung...

UPDATE: Sandstone white model tested - Bigger screen. Better camera. Same price. Need we say any more?
18:9 aspect screen brings it bang up to date ; Slight camera improvements ; Same great performance & battery life
No waterproofing, wireless charging ; Camera quality still middle of the pack ; A bit too soon?
The latest phone to super-size its screen keeps the price right, making it a great value choice

After using the OnePlus 5T for close to a month, it's clear that this is one of the best smartphones released in 2017. Several mobile...
Great value ; Sleek new design ; Facial recognition ; Dependable camera ; Satisfying UI
No expandable storage
The OnePlus 5T is a near faultless phone, and those few weaknesses when compared with other flagship phones are minor at best. A lack of microSD support isn’t really an issue thanks to the plentiful on-board storage, for instance, while the absence of...

The OnePlus 5T improves an already solid flagship phone and earned our Editors' Choice. But if you have the OnePlus 5, don't fret.
The OnePlus 5T has a bigger screen and its camera takes better low-light photos than the 5. Its few software tweaks are useful in small ways.
The phone's face unlock doesn't authorize payments and its dual camera's digital rather than telephoto zoom is a step back. There's no expandable storage, and it's not rated for water resistance.
The OnePlus 5T is a superb, affordable phone for new buyers, despite only minor changes from the OnePlus 5.

If you bought a OnePlus 5, the OnePlus 5T might annoy you by its mere existence. Is the six-monthly flagship phone cycle ever a good idea?

There's no shortage of big-screen smartphones on the market, and now the OnePlus 5T has joined the family. Although it looks similar to the OnePlus 5, OnePlus say this new model has more to offer. Could this be the best OnePlus smartphone yet? We tried...
