Nokia E51

Our third Nokia mobile phone review in as many weeks sees the E51 get the once-over. Third time lucky?

If you need two-way video calling or a good camera on your mobile then the E51 isn't for you. But in every other respect I found it to be a great little mobile.

Nokia's sleek and slim business smartphone is not just for suits

Wi-Fi and 3G HSDPA ; VoIP support ; Extensive email support ; Smart slimline look ; Straightforward keypad layout ; Comprehensive office tools

No secondary camera ; Average 2-megapixel camera ; Screen text size can look small ; No internal GPS ; No keyboard

Full to the brim with useful tools, the E51 performs well and looks great

Nokia E51 mobile phone

When the Nokia E50 rocked up mid-2006, it was seen as a capable replacement for the legendary 6310i, a phone still seemingly favoured by crusty old business bods. This Symbian Series 60 smartphone was the closest any Nokia handset had come to matching...

Slender design, easy-to-use, plethora of shortcuts, built-in Wi-Fi and HSDPA

Average camera and video performance

The E51 is a vast, vast, improvement on the solid but unspectacular E50.

Nokia E51 review

Is the search finally over for an heir to the ancient but classic Nokia 6310 business phone?

Not many business-class phones are this user friendly. Well connected and fat free, it's straight from the smartphone top drawer

Nokia - E51

Nokia's E series of smartphones is aimed pretty squarely at the business community, but in fact it has a lot to offer the well organised consumer too. The E51 is possibly the most attractive of the ...

Of all the E series mobiles the E51 is the most disarming. It lacks a QWERTY keyboard and so won't suit those who need to do lots of e-mail, but for information-fiends it is a tidy option.

Nokia E51

In our preface to this review we ponder over why the Eseries devices have never been really popular on the market. If, for some reasons, you have missed this write-up, I strongly recommend that you read it, so as to get a better idea of the way the...

Other Eseries-branded offerings weren't popular back then either. For instance, the Nokia E60 was such a œhot product, that they removed all records of it from the official page, except for the customer support section. As a matter of fact, the only...
