Moto G100 review – Motorola's new phone has Ready For to expand your screen over a monitor and a Snapdragon 870 chipset

Powerful for the price;Accessories included;Clean Android interface

Chunky design and very tall;Immature design;Underwhelming camera performance

Moto G100 review

The Moto G100 is a good budget phone, but you can only buy it packaged with the Ready For service.

Lots of processing power Better cameras than other Moto phones Handy fingerprint scanner

Can’t be bought without Ready For Pretty large Slow to charge

Sold on its own, the Moto G100 would be a good-value low-cost phone, thanks to a fast processor, pretty decent cameras for its price and a handy fingerprint scanner, though there are some issues like its big size and slow charging speeds. The real...

Moto G100 review: A new dawn for the G series

The first Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 phone from Motorola helps to redefine the meaning of the G series. But who's it for and does it deliver strong?

Super smooth performance ; Long-lasting battery life ; Software without the quirks of near-priced competitors ; Fun colour finish options

'Quad camera' is an oversell - and don't expect the best results either ; Screen has a reflective coating ; Dual punch-hole unnecessary

A budget gaming-capable phone that foregoes the AMOLED screen hype and camera cost implications to deliver a half-price near-flagship that, in use, adds up to oh so much more.

Motorola Moto G100 review

Are you Ready For this?

Capable mid-range hardware ; Respectable battery life ; Software extras don’t ruin stock android UI

Camera sensor overkill with mixed results ; Productivity focus won’t appeal to all ; Chunky build doesn’t feel very premium

Breaks new ground for the Moto G line-up, but only to limited effect. Unless you have specific plans for the productivity-focused accessory bundle, there are plenty of mid-range rivals that are more well-rounded.

Moto G100 review

Motorola's Ready For system turns the capable mid-range Moto G100 into an Android-based desktop PC with middling results.

Impressive performance ; Long battery life ; Ready For system could be useful to some

No version without the Ready For dock ; Hit-and-miss camera performance ; Heavy and chunky

The Moto G100 offers great performance, a decent display and long battery life for less than £450, with the added bonus of Motorola's Ready For tech that turns the phone into an Android-powered desktop. If you can overlook hit-and-miss camera...

Motorola Moto G100 review

Bridging the gap between the affordable G-series and the more upmarket Edge models, the Moto G100 is Motorola's take on a high-powered midranger. Indeed,...

Appealing design, interesting colors, pleasant to touch.

The display is LCD and 'only' 90Hz - there are better ones for the money.

However, the Moto G100 does not disappoint when it comes to the fundamentals - it offers a solid battery life, a top-tier performance, and display and camera image quality that are very much okay. But the G100's real strength lies in the combination of...

Motorola Moto G100 review

The Moto G100 follows the general design philosophy of the company - you get an all-plastic build, generous bezels around the display, and a curved plastic back painted in a cool color...

Great performance, fast and snappy ; Decent main camera ; Close to stock Android experience ; Good battery life

Bulky plastic design ; Display brightness not great ; Mono loudspeaker ; Heating issues ; Slow charging speeds

Motorola Moto G100 Review: Identity crisis

The Moto G100 was launched as the "most powerful Moto G in history," but does it live up to the tradition of cost-effectiveness that made the line popular?

Excellent and stable performance ; Great battery life ; Good screen, although LCD and "only" 90 Hz ; Headphone jack and microSD card slot

Not very versatile camera ; No wireless charging ; No IP certification ; Below average upgrade policy

The Moto G100 is a mix of strengths and weaknesses, with impeccable performance thanks to the Snapdragon 870 processor and 5G compatibility, a screen that on paper lags behind the competition but in practice is perfectly adequate, and excellent battery...

Motorola Moto g100 review: Premium power and display on a budget

In our review of the Moto g100, we like how it offers incredible power and display tech for the price, but aren't so sure about the more unique features.

Powerful specs for price ; Free ReadyFor accessories ; Impressive display ; Ultrawide selfie camera

Disappointing overall photo quality ; Slow to charge ; ReadyFor isn't too versatile

At best, the Moto g100’s cameras are serviceable, though the ultrawide selfie camera is a standout. The software, assuming you’re using it on the phone itself, is nice and straightforward to use, and even if it can’t replace your laptop, ReadyFor still...

Review: Motorola Moto G100 | Lightning Fast Middle-class Motorola Moto G100

The Motorola Moto G100 is almost as good as significantly more expensive smartphones from other manufacturers. And it hides an interesting surprise.

Extremely long battery life and high performance. The camera is excellent and the "Ready For" extra feature is the finishing touch.

Poor screen and disappointing sound experience. Missing wireless charging and IP certification.

The Motorola Moto G100 is proof that you can not always get in both bag and sack. A mobile for less than 4,000 kroner with as high a performance as the Moto G100 can perform – as mentioned largely on a par with much more expensive smartphones such as...
