Great hardware, but software niggles let it down

Great screen ; DLNA compatibility ; Powerful processor

Some software issues ; Heavy on battery ; Some poor LG apps

In terms of hardware, we really like the LG LG Optimus 2X. The screen is excellent, it’s got a fantastic camera, video is great and it’s very quick.

A dual core smartphone with Iphone killing looks

Beautifully built, great display, very fast thanks to its Tegra 2 chip

Backlight auto-adjust doesn't work well, especially outdoors, and there is a little gap that collects pocket detritus

LG hasn't dominated the mobile phone landscape in the way Samsung has, but it seems determined to grab some attention with its Optiumus 2X aka the LG-P990.
